end of the day Purdy drove his team down for a cheap shot field goal and the kicker missed it. i guarantee if herbert or trevor lawrence or any other high pick had performance like Purdy this past week Gottlieb would say thats the future superstar right there that even though having a bad game he handled the adversity and pressure and as future superstar put the team on his back and put the team in position to win. the hate on purdy is real.

He’s a product of his situation nothing wrong with that he’s not a superstar and the first play of that last drive he hit the DB in the chest with the ball him and pj walker were tryna take turns giving the game away 😂

@@daa_97 and i guarantee if Brady or Mahones did that people would brush it off or say hey thats a wouldn pf should of or part of the game or dbs fault yadda yadda all fhe excuses and say what matters they are goats amd drove the team down but the kicker missed it. and you know it. consciously or subconsioucly people will put Purdy down because where he was drafted and their egos cant handle they were that wrong about evaluating him as a talent.

Totally agree with this take. Doug & Bob are always having hot takes. Super black or white opinions. It's probably an act to get attention. Doug doesn't realize Brady & Bress has always had elite pass catching backs their whole careers because they like to check the ball dwn when no one is open. Brady had, Kevin Faulk, Danny Whitehead, James White. Brees had Pierre Thomas, Reggie Bush, & Kamara. I dnt see ppl killing them with checkdowns & the RBs runs for a ton of yards.

My issue with how ppl perceive Purdy is that, any situation he would strive. Is he a system qb? I lend no, I think he keeps the system going. Like wether moody made the fg yesterday. Purdy played bad. Is he a bad qb? No but did he play bad…. Yes
