As much as I agree about bowers being absolutely HIM, I have to disagree with your point. If I’m a new HC, I’m going with the safer bet at QB because that is the driving force of the offense. Yeah you can say bowers absolutely killed with an unstable QB situation, but what did that result in? 4 wins? Now imagine the results of the raiders season if he had way better QB play and you’ll see why a new HC would go with the safer bet at QB even though bowers is a potential goat at his position.

Thanks for replying. Who were the young QB’s most of those guys were tied at the hip with? Tomlin was a Defensive Coach most of his career except 97 as a receivers coach at Arkansas state. I’ll mention it again I’ve never seen a OC turn HC come in the NFL tied at the hip with a rookie QB and win the superbowl.

Well I will answer the question of Caleb Williams, Or AOC with a question for an offensive minded coach. Maxx Crosby or Montez sweat? If I was an OC graduating, I would think I would MUCH rather take one of the best defensive stars in their prime to help sure up the side of the ball where your strengths are weaker. So that focus will be on your own strengths. Plus, with #6 and potentially several good QBs will be available in second round. Thats an issue with this weak of a QB class. So it wouldnt be AOC unless you want AOC to stick around (which I still think he has the potential to do something if he could get an ounce of stability.) But you would still be drafting a QB of your choice. Just have to demonstrate that eye for talent and spend your resources wisely. Fact is that they should be building from the stable of guys as that is what AP and telesco were building and it should still be our focus. We need to stay defensive. Id take Pete, but Salah is a better fit for the raiders as he has already been put through the fire of bad/cursed ownership. I dont see Pete being that adept at dealing with bad management focused more on making money than football and adapting to it in his old age.

There are no great quarterbacks coming out of college. Mark Davis should have never fired Jon Gruden and Derek Carr. They were starting to win. The Raiders should have stayed somewhere in California. No home field advantage while in L.V.
