In any case, Jonah has many obvious qualities. Courage. Jonah is courageous at every test. ... Knowledge of God. Jonah perfectly understands God's plans. ... Faith. Jonah's faith stems from his knowledge of the LORD. ... Truth. ... Love of fellow man. ... Perseverance. ... The Ninevites. ... . Prophet Jonah was both foolish and selfish. He mistakenly thought he could run away from God. He ignored God's desires and indulged his own prejudice against the people of Nineveh, Israel's fiercest enemies. He thought he knew better than God when it came to the fate of the Ninevites.

Islamic version is different . Jonah peace be up on him is a prophet of the lord . he was sent to a city, of over a hundred thousand people, to preach the oneness of the lord to the people , but they did not want to believe and did not want to obey the command of the lord . Jonah got frustrated of their stubbornness . He abandoned the lord's mission and left on a ship. The storm came and the people on the ship agreed to sacrifice a passenger to the angry god , but they chose through a random pick that always pointed to Jonah. he was swallowed by a whale and while in his stomach he kept praying for forgiveness. the lord forgave him and the whale spit him on a beach where a pumpkin plant grew on his wounds to heal him. Meanwhile, the lord decreed the destruction of that city and the death of everyone in it for their transgression. Jonah went back to the city, only to find it empty. he asked how the lord would make this dead city alive again . the lord at that instant made Jonah dead and resurrected him after one hundred years . the lord asked Jonah , how long do you think you spent here, Jonah answered one day or part of a day. the lord said , no , you stayed one hundred years, and look to your food how it did not change in one hundred years , and look at your donkey how he stayed at your side and look to the bones of the dead people of this city how I bring them to live in front of you . after that, the whole city believe in the one lord . the story is about a servant of the lord who was ordered for mission but got frustrated and abandoned the people he thought are doomed . the lord showed him that there is nothing impossible with the mercy of Allah. the disbelieving city became obedient and joined the path of the lord . a person should obey the command of the lord even when he does not understand them and never lose hope , you might be surprised. The lord can bring change to anyone. the lord is all knowing and has wisdom in everything.

Rich, thanks for your well-prepared presentation. May I ask a question? Why do you think the king of Nineveh didn't ask for a face-to-face meeting with Jonah?

The way of forgiveness and compassion to love others the way he loves you and to search for him through his word and prayers and conversations to Jesus. The Jesus way is doing what he speaks in the books of Matthew Luke and Mark
