If I'm not mistaken the Ancient Mongols use animals to symbolizes/describe the non-Mongolians. Lion is symbolized as the Westerners. The Tigers are people of China, Elephants are from India and They themselves are the Wolves. Blue mane lion are like their Guardian Spirit.

Yeah, you're right about that one. The hottest guys in the empire were commanders of 10000 warriors. It said if words that "commander is visiting this place" got out many people'll flock towards it. Especially dauthers of nobles. You get title and reward by merit so commander of 10000 is a big deal.

I was led to the Hu Band by BabyMetal, that wonderful gift that keeps on giving. Just as Sabaton's video for their song The Last Stand can make the most ardent atheists shout, "In the name of GOD!", this video by the Hu Band can fill even the most dedicated pacifists with the urge to leap on a horse and go conquer someplace. There is just something so primal about it that can get the meekest of men fist pumping and chanting Hu! Hu! Hu! Hu!

Yes. The horse head fiddle ( Morin Khuur) is mongolian traditional instrument meant to mimic horse and horde sounds. There are 2 strings usually made from actual horse tail but strings have diff counts of hair strands.

You should go to their live concert whenever or wherever possible! I was lucky to be able to went to their concert in Montreal. It was amazing, actually there were more foreigners than Mongolians. We had such a good time!

Yes, that instrument uses 2 strings. All of their instruments are classic Mongolian instruments. They're similar to what we commonly know, but they are subtly different.

This song is a traditional battle song of Genghis Khan's Golden Horde. They were not afraid of ANYTHING, and had the biggest empire the world has ever seen. . "If you come at us like a tiger, we will fight like lions." Brilliant line. See, in nature, a tiger would kick the shit out of a lion but, much like the Horde, lions hunt in packs, tigers are solitary. They are saying "fuck with us, and the entire Horde will descend upon you". Look up what he did to the Khwarezmid. Bugger the Spartans, the Mongols were the baddest muthafuckas that ever lived. . BTW, Chinggis = Genghis Khan. . Damn, Doc, if you can keep that up, you might have an untapped talent for throat singing. Can you imagine rapping like that? . They do heavier stuff, but they also continue to use traditional Mongol instruments.

On the other hand, the Mongols fought and conquered most of the known land during their time. Their enemies were far advanced and bigger. But they figured to defeat most of them. This is why the Mongol Empire is so much better in terms of conquest.

@@aslof1069 Firstly The British had to defend their colonies on many occosions against The French, Spanish, Portragese and/or Dutch, so it really wasnt just a case of turning up a taking land form less advanced native populations. Secondly he said they had the biggest empire (which obviously isn't true) he didnt say 'most impressive' or 'greatest' if he did it would be subjective and then there would be room for what you said, but he didn't and theres not. Also to just add The Mongols (although not initially) did become aware of the exsistance of Europe and Africa (probabably only North Africa) so the claim that they conquered most of the known world is false. They were aware it was much bigger, there are records of corispondance with the kings of both France and England, just FYI.

England had ships, technology, and fire power (specifically guns). It’s like trying to compare a Pro football team from the 50s to a Pro football team from 2021. Can’t and shouldn’t be compared. JMO.

Got the record, the Mongolian Empire under Ghengis Khan came after the Roman Empire, so they would have been very aware and ready for War Elephants, which is why they mention it in the song.

I'd argue that you're correct over most online resources. This isn't "heavy metal" in the sense that modern music is concerned; I'd call it folk rock. But such is genre naming in a title -based fomart. I'd argue that it's closer to Garmarna than Metallica.
