Simple because it is a war chant. Basically whomever you send or however you arrive, we will kick your butt. Good, honest review. (btw did you click CC to see the lyrics?) Their "Sad But True" cover gets them into the metal genre IMO. They also did a song for the Star Wars:Fallen Order game titled Sugaan Essena . It is all in a made up alien language developed with the game developers. I especially like its transition near the end. 👍

Very cool. They make me feel like I would want them on my side if it came down to it. I'm familiar with throat singing but have not seen it used in this context before which is awesome. Love the different instruments. Might want to rethink their name for obvious reasons but maybe I'm too old and not Mongolian to understand or dictate. With that many views they've got enough people that just want to hear them. Nice job as always.

I am Ukrainian. The Mongol yoke entered the Ukrainian land in 1223. The Ukrainians were under the Mongol yoke for 100 years, after which the Princes of Kiev revolted and drove the Mongols from our lands. The Russians immediately surrendered to them and were under the yoke of the Mongols for 600 years, which was reflected in the modern structure of power in Russia - a brutal, merciless vertical of power to its people. When I listen to the Mongolian language and their songs (the genital memory of ancestors is in my blood), subconsciously, my hand immediately looks for a sword, and the desire to attack :-)

Hi David !! Bro. Look for The Hu with a cover of a METALICA Sad But True song, I promise you will blow your mind. the instruments used by the band, Morin khuur two strings are like cellos but with violin tones; the other is called Tovshuur is like the bass but with two or three strings; khöömei or throat singing , Its peculiarity is that the singers are capable of simultaneously emitting two voices, a low chorus and a high-pitched whistle

In a way, metal is well suited to incorporating unusual (read: traditional) vocals, given that metal vocals already incorporate such a huge range of singing styles, compared to classic rock or blues.

It's no surprising for me to say that they sound familiar to native Americans cause it's believed that the native are a migrants of central Asia and if take a close look the natives and the central Asia have very much things in similarities both shares the same spiritual practice in root it's shamanism well bonnism an origination of Asia before any existence of religion!!!!! Myself being an Asian I have this knowledge not by reading book but analyzing and being Born in the same blood I am from Nepal a south asian country here in my nation we tribes from the hills and the mountains have things of the same root our way of chanting mantras are done in by throat voices in particular, whenever I visit my village in the mountain traveling in bust by sitting the roof I have these guys in my earphones to the whole journey gazing the hills the mountains it gives those shamanic Bonnism vibes that never could give any vibes from other genres and it's magnificent!!!

Yeah, I'd agree with that. More blues rock than metal. Their other big hit, Yuve Yuve Yu is even more blues/rock feeling. To me, I think why it could be considered metal is that it's kind of an inversion of something like melodic metal, where instead of clean vocals with distorted instruments, they use clean instruments (mostly) with distorted vocals. These guys are basically a group of university professors who decided to invent a new genre of music, they call Hunnu Rock. Almost everyone in the band has a Ph.D. in some kind of historical/traditional Mongolian instrumentation/vocalization technique afaik. Though I can't seem to find anything to back that up on Google right now, and I'm not sure where I heard it. In an interview they did, I think... but I could be totally off-base, lol.
