LOL! I suspect he's mellowed out! That was over 20 years ago when they were newly tasting success. Over his lifetime, he experienced so many indignities I think he's speaking with a lot of bravado and a bit of bitterness and pain. When he talks about working 12 hours for 50 cents, you can feel that.

@@Mimi-cg2cw He is a bad father. He only cares about money not loving his kids. He has another daughter from a previous marriage whom he never wants anything to do with her. Why? Because she isn't rich like Serena & Venus. His 2 daughters is his cash cow. The older daughter was already too old when he had his tennis vision. He can't use her as his cash cow. So he wants nothing to do with her. Disgusting. PS : At the end of the day The Williams Sisters turned out just fine, which is great. I guess he deserve some props for that. But really not appreciating him admitting he is making his daughter as a cash cow. Its ok to be paid as a coach. It is not okay to make new business deals on their behalf, for 2 teenagers who wouldn't even want to do it if it wasn't for him. Who knows, Serena & Venus probably would have peaked earlier in their career and win more grand slams if he wasn't overworking them in the beginning.
