His voice has changed, he was only 19 when he started singing professionally and inevitably his voice has become deeper with the age( he also used to smoke a lot ) but I have always loved his voice, in the nineties : in my opinion it was just right for the sound of the Verve. He’s always been a magnificent singer and his voice is a gift from Heaven.
