The difference between net or gross... gives hope to us dyslexic people. We love visuals that’s how we learn.👏🏼👏🏼🎉🥇

Totally agree. We are visual people. That is why ART is so important. When we look back at history, ART was used before words to communicate MAPS (foraging) and a way of life. butterflylullaby.blogspot.com/2019/03/dyslexic-richard-branson-hit-hurt-by.html

I can still recall when I was held back in the third grade and put into special education classes. Of course I didn't imagine anything was wrong with me until it was pointed out that I operated differently in terms of group educational (dyslexia) learning. However, what really hurt me the most was being told that I was lazy, I didn't try hard enough, and most damaging that I was unintelligent. These conversations not only derailed my learning process, they killed myself motivation. Counselors basically told me my life was over and I would eventually drop out of school or end up in prison, and this was devastating. Regrettably, self prophesied by me and my behavior. Yet deep inside I believed them. I felt I didn't deserve opportunities bestowed upon me. It took me 35 years to undo this curse placed upon a black child so many decades ago. As I sit down to write this carefully, I'm still careful with the words I choose and the words I lay upon others. With this being said, basically, we should be careful how we talk to our children because they hang on our every word searching for validation. Derrick Newton Class of 2018 University of Santa Cruz

I was 15 when I left school too. It was boring. Mathmatically I was stunted. But went back in my 30s. Richard is such an Inspiration to millions. Thank you. I still have Sky Diving in my Bucket List🤙

Lovely chap! I myself have Aspergers and dyslexia. I've always noticed people criticise me for being different and liking certain things. I'm only 19 studying in university. Life is hard at these times as you don't exactly know what the outcome will be. But always stay positive. :)

I remember I used to hide my maths results from my parents for being dyslexic and sitting hopelessly in the maths test while others just got on with it.

I think in every country in the world should have assisted technology for adult people with dyslexia help read and write mandatory. In school, All kind of libraries, courthouses, State House, government buildings, trade schools, organizations that help you find jobs, Banks, credit union colleges. I believe we got far in with helping dyslexia people but not enough for the adults that's dealing with it everyday.
