The chasm between the two is beyond measure...

I wish this included the ring reveal part. There's an audible gasp from the audience. The stone held the world record at the time for the highest price ever paid for a single diamond, a little over $1.1 million (over $8 million when you account for inflation) when Burton bought it from Cartier after losing the auction to them.

Allowing him a breath, a little scene, To monarchize, be fear'd and kill with looks, Infusing him with self and vain conceit, As if this flesh which walls about our life, Were brass impregnable, and humour'd thus Comes at the last and with a little pin Bores through his castle wall, and farewell king!

The speech is abbreviated quite a bit, I'm sure for timing purposes. But Lucy wins the best actor award here:with her last line.

For God's sake, let us sit upon the ground And tell sad stories of the death of kings; How some have been deposed; some slain in war, Some haunted by the ghosts they have deposed; Some poison'd by their wives: some sleeping kill'd; All murder'd: for within the hollow crown That rounds the mortal temples of a king Keeps Death his court and there the antic sits, Scoffing his state and grinning at his pomp,

Interesting Burton left out this line in the middle of his recital, " Some poison'd by their wives". Slip or intended?

On a family show? Though perhaps that's a reason why Lucy gave it a 👎🏼

Just a note that I had planned to post this bit before I saw Paulo Santos' post. But I'm still going to post to add a few things in the description.
