Salaam. Sheikh, I wanted to ask you a question. I hope you can answer it in some detail in the future. The question is: if someone is an atheist, or is in doubt about the existence of God, then can we use the "Pascal's wager" argument to try and bring him to theism? Secondly, will a person's decision to believe in God merely as a consequence of the Pascal's wager actually even count as faith according to Islam?

Maybe for them, but there is a broad spectrum. Whilst not being a salafi, I like most Muslims don't believe in nor do istighata to other than Allah, which this Sheikh promotes. It goes against the very foundation of Islam. Even though the sheikh mentions that the fitrah recognises the creator and is inclined to call upon him.

Thanks for the time stamps! As an atheist, I came to the video because of the title, and that's all I really want to address. So, let's see what you've got... _"Can Allah create a person more powerful than him?"_ *That's* your "logical fallacy of atheists"? Really? Have you ever _met_ an atheist? Have you ever talked to one of us? Because that's just silly. Note that nothing in that even _mentions_ atheists. And I suspect that no one older than ten or 12 would ask anything that silly, anyway. If _that's_ what you think atheists are asking, it's no wonder you think you have all the answers! Here's _my_ question: How about one piece of good evidence, specific enough and in enough detail that I can judge it for myself, that your god is real, rather than just imaginary? Just *one,* please, but be specific. Why is *one* too much to ask? Why is *one* _always_ too much to ask? Evidence is how we distinguish reality from delusion and wishful-thinking. So, basically, I'm just asking if you have anything - *anything* - distinguishable from wishful-thinking backing up your religious beliefs? Or is this just what you were taught to believe as a child, and you really, really _want_ it to be true? Thanks again for the time stamps. But I _would_ like an answer to my question, if someone here would care to try to demonstrate *something* distinguishable from wishful-thinking backing up this stuff.

What do you suppose we do when you're looking for material evidence with sensory perception and we're not making a claim about a material god? How does a scientist explain quantum theory to a caveman?

Yes, Shaykh have debates with atheists and wrote a profound book, "Islam Answers Atheism" . You should definitely check it
@Bill_Garthright3 ай бұрын
@@ayyubvernon1557 OK. So, nothing, then? You have *nothing* distinguishable from wishful-thinking backing up your religious beliefs? Well, that's why I can't take your religious claims seriously. After all, claims are easy. _Every_ religion makes claims, just because of how easy it is to make claims. Typically, worldwide, which claims a theist believes almost always depends on which claims he was taught to believe as a child. So, _clearly,_ that's not a reliable path to the truth. It's just a reliable path to wishful-thinking.

@@hamza_hasnat_hbk Have _you_ read that book? Then how about an example? After all, there are far more books in the world than I'll ever have time to read. And most religious apologist books seem to be written to comfort believers, not convince atheists. So please show me that your book is worthwhile, with one specific example. How about one piece of good evidence, specific enough and in enough detail that I can judge it for myself, that your god is real, rather than just imaginary? Just *one,* please. Why is *one* too much to ask? Thanks for the reply.

Your Question is " can Allah create a person more powerful than him ? " Since your question is regarding Allah's power, Islam says Allah has absolute power not limited 1st answer : Your question is like asking this question " can ( an absolute powerful being ) create a person or (a thing) more powerful than him ? " - how can there be something more powerful than absolute powerful ? By definition it's impossibility Last point I want to make : by definition and deductive reasoning there can only be a single absolute powerful not anymore than that, if there more than a single absolute powerful being then logically none of the supposed absolute powerful beings have absolute power Great job for looking for answers of your doubts, if you agree to my answer please let me know but if you disagree then please provide your reasoning for your disagreement and counter arguments against my answer

The majority of Taliban are linked with deobandi madaris. I respect you call then ahle sunnah but barelwis would state that the fact the taliban leadership doesn't view deobandis as kafir then they too are kafir. Are you stating that as long as someone is hanafi and doesn't involve themselves in differences of what some deobandi scholars have allegedly said then that is fine? Even if those Taliban openly sit, pray behind and follow some deobandi scholars?
@DocumentingMoments3 ай бұрын
Deobandi means being Maturidi in Aqeeda and Hanafi in fiqh and a follower of one of the 4 schools of tasawwuf. That is Ahl as Sunnah. When the taliban are called deobandi that’s what it means, not the brelvi understanding of deoband.

5:39 i think there needs to be a correction here; a mo’jza is basically a miraculous act done by a Prophet, it may or may not be imitable; while magic is done by magicians who are not claiming to be prophets; magic also doesn’t change the nature of a thing, while prophetic miracle does change it; magic is fooling the senses; and jinns are usually involved in magic. Magic can be defeated and it’s effects are cancelled by the death of the magician while the same is not true for a prophetic miracle.
