In real life she didnt get prison. She got a 5 year restraining order. Her stalking also lasted over 7-10 years. She also sent him 'gifts' like underwear and a stuffed reindeer

It was a great show actually. About the comedy, some people categorize this show as a "dark comedy", at least for the first few episodes leading to the recollections Donny had about Darrien, then it becomes totally a psychological thriller

I didnt think it was a comedy, although I heard others say that too. I did think it was a totally different story that I thought I knew from a True Crime podcast. I kept waiting for the details I thought I knew. So it was a curve ball from what I expected. Definitely, not a comedy.
