I'm a huge fan of all Richard Gere films, but my absolute favorite has to be "Unfaithful" (2002), which, in my humble opinion, stands as a true masterpiece.

Pretty Woman and his role in it will always be one of my favorite movies of all time. Both of them seemed so natural interacting with each other. Not to mention, it's about time someone really showed how beautiful a redhead could be and how redheads are so much more than evil or sexual.

A multi talented actor and musician. My all time fave like most people is Pretty Woman. The chemistry between him and Julia was so tangible and fabulous. You get so engrossed that you forget you’re watching a movie. I can go on and on but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention my other favorite An Officer And A Gentleman. The emotion that Richard put into that performance showcased his depth of an enveloping a role and fully becoming that character. No one who has watched it will ever forget the scenes with the incomparable Louis Gossett Jr. Cannot wait to see his latest film. A fine artist!

When the film industry was used to mainstream prostitution, making it look glamorous. After that film I never could watch anything with Gere or Roberts in it. If Gere's wife found out he was seeing prostitutes or Roberts found out her husband was seeing prositutes and were absolutely heartbroken would they feel differently about the film. Hollywood loves to make affairs, drug use, violence and profanity common place, dragging down society. I am not an old fashioned prude I just like movies that lift up humanity and morality.

I think "Pretty Woman" was the film that marked the change in social attitude towards women in that particular workforce, making them more understandable, more human, more relatable to other women. It had a blessing in it for them.

Why is it that everybody remembers him in Pretty Women and Runaway Bride where he played average roles, where his acting caliber was exceptional in 'An officer and a Gentleman' and The Jackal. This guy can truly act and he has made some wonderful dramas but he is continually associated with this two romantic comedies that were lovely but did not do him justice as an experienced actor

Amazing actor who was excellent in An Officer and A Gentleman and means so much that film as I remember my mum going to the pictures to see it and now she’s passed two years ago due to Dementia 🥹Although when Richard was on a migrant boat telling us all they need help I was sort of thinking yeah that’s ok for you say in your huge house as you will never have them near you ! We on the other hand get them and in turn get bad ones that cause fear and violence and a mess of the area they come to ….
