My first car was a 98 SLX Primera that I bought for ca 800 euro/dollars. She was the best car in the world. We travelled through Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Holland, northern France... and to my job. She never failed to start, always dependable and comfortable to drive. Then she had an inspection, rust had started to eat on her chassi/load bearing parts. She had the car version of terminal cancer (it passes this yearly inspection with a slim margin, next however... very doubtful...) . I tried to think "It's just metal, rubber and plastic. Get a new car." But I cried...

Mines all in Japanese.. Really good on petrol though has starter motor problems and when the console doesn't turn on your left with aircon on max and that kind of sucks through winter..

I have the model with the sr20ve engine and 6 speed manual, bloody good car although they are quite ugly i think.

I ran a diesel version of this a few years back. Nice driving car and loads of tech but a rather harsh suspension gave a firm ride. Sadly the engine gave up the ghost at just under 100k, big end bearings failed and so ended that car but not my experience with Nissan as I still drive Nissan to this day.

Owning both a P11 and P12 i have to agree that the P11 is the best Primera, actually its an outstanding car, very reliable, sturdy and a joy to drive and i personaly love its looks!! The P12 is a passable car at best, ugly, plasticy, oh and the drivers seat is horrible...!

That stereo system looks a pain in the arse to change to a normal aftermarket DIN unit, which if you want modern features like bluetooth, aux and USB you are gonna want to do.

Satnav on a DVD lol, I never knew such things existed. I had the previous Primera in an offensive metallic bottle green, but never liked this model with it's massive nostrils.

I have one. Total crap. Also all that tech in 2022 is now haunted and it picks it's own radio channel at random and the sat nav takes me to places knocked down 15 years ago. Also the driver window fell inside and mangeled the cables for the electric window system so now I have a block of wood inside the door holding it shut.
