Nothing would make me happier than for these two men to spend the rest of their careers feigning the sabotage of everything the other one does.

He plays up being jealous of Lee all the time on RHLSTP to great effect. Mostly in jest but there does seem to be a lingering nugget of actual jealousy which just makes it funnier in my opinion. You can see Stewart smirking through all of it he knows what's being done.

that was such an amazing gig. I spoke to richard herring while i was on my way to the gig, for some reason not thinking he might be aswell. then when i heard someone interupting stewart lee with "TELL A JOKE, TELL US A FUCKING JOKE" i thought "fantastic" people who missed this missed an absolute gem of a gig.

At edinburgh I seen Christ on a bike, as it occurs to me, 1 collings and herring podcast, Stewart Lee's live show at the stand, and Kevin Eldon's show. I even got Stu to sign his book for me, but I MISSED this!!! I regret it so much! Especially after hearing Franz Ferdinand and Eldon did a version of "machadaynu"!!

or in his (edinborough fringe) podcasts, ad infinitum. it is probably the stuff that i love the most; when he takes a poke at stew; every time, it rips an insane sounding laugh out of me: and i look like an idiot wherever i happen to be (listening to my stupid little ipod). i could never choose which one is cooler (or more funny). i started liking stewart more; and have gradually realized richard's (bitter, jealous, priapic) genius. good job on catching this, mate.

The ironic thing looking back now is that richard is just as big a comedian as stew since he has his RHLSTP which probably gets the same amount of views+listens as some of the interesting slots the bbc put comedy vehicle now It's almost as if they're happy in their own careers and are still on friendly terms The public hate that, they need the sad clown thing and for one to be bitterly resent the other They saw it in a film about a double act once, now It must be true for every single real life double act, not just corden and horden. Aside: Lee is resentful of herring while letting himself go and wanting the moon on a stick. P.s. I'm wanking as I write this.

I disagree with the sentiment of the description of this video. Richard Herring is very proud of Stu's success, and is only play acting at being jealous. It is all an act, just acting out what others of an unkinder disposition might say. Really they are great buddies, otherwise why would they still share the same stage. Mind you Mark Lamarr's let himself go!
