Bill sent me here saying it's the best chat with Richard, and it did not disappoint. Hilarious. Rest in peace, legend! #RIPRichardLewis

Prince Satyrn. Yes, you're the only one. That's how Richard Lewis has had such a long career, because 1 guy (you) finds him hilarious. Am I the only one who hates when people ask, "am I the only one who likes this popular thing?"?

Good question, Joey B. Am I the only one who likes when someone hates someone for being the only one who likes something that many people seem to hate although they probably love it?

Love Lewis but this interview shows you how out of touch he is with the comedy world. There has never been as much originality as exists today and there has never been as much of a demand for comedians across the globe. Sniggering at Australia shows you why if it wasn't for Curb he'd probably have relapsed- closed mind.

Never thought Richard Lewis was funny even in his prime. Could never understand why Letterman who I liked had him on so many times. Just a NYC kvetching Jew. What non-Jewish people living anywhere else in the country call a "complainer." Unlike Larry David's POV, which is observational comedy wearing microscope glasses and commenting on social mores and human foibles. They are opposite sides of the coin. Lewis may make the same observations but feels guilty for doing so; David attacks.
@Lootroq10 жыл бұрын
Richard Lewis's act is jewish anxiety and guilt comedy on steroids. I saw this guy live and I swear he never finished a bit. I was in pain because of how much I laughed. Great comic, great performer. Curious though, what made you watch this video if you don't like Lewis?
@ytugtbk10 жыл бұрын
Lootroq Thanks for keeping it civil. I'm a huge fan of Dom Irrera, and even though his podcast / vblog show is spotty, I'm hanging with it. Don't get me wrong. There have been times I've found Lewis entertaining; just not a fan of the style. Cheers.
@nbadraft0810 жыл бұрын
I don't want to keep it civil. I doubt calling someone a kvetching Jew is what people would call civil either. The fact is Jews are funny, and the Jewy style is funny. I always loved hearing people say Jews are complainers, as if they're above complaining. You're complaining about complaining Jews. Also, complaining is at the root of a lot of comedy, Jewish or not. And Larry David and Richard Lewis are absolutely cut from the same cloth, so why not simply say I don't think Richard Lewis is funny. Furthermore, though I am surprised you like Larry David, I'd like to know who you find funny. Oftentimes I hear people scoff at legends of comedy, they cite people like Jeff Dunham and Kevin Hart as their favorites. If that's where people are coming from, how bout just say COMEDY'S SUBJECTIVE I DON'T LIKE THIS COMEDIAN...and then shut the fuck up. I don't mean that, no one should stop saying their opinions about anything, ever. But that doesn't mean you're opinion isn't shitty. Full disclosure I haven't even seen any of Richard Lewis' old standup. Saw him live recently, and, like the other commenter said, not having an act or not finishing bits was goddamn hilarious. He was also excellent in Curb and Robin Hood Men in Tights. And this chat with Dom was good, so go pound sand.
