Yes, that's all correct. Usually people prefer the lesson be taught without a capo though, so that's how I taught it. Then you can just capo to wherever you feel comfortable singing it ...which is also what Richard does ;)

Thanks, David, I've always loved this song, since it was first released, I've just been put off trying to play it because of that lead guitar piece - but gonna learn the chords and words now and try and work out the lead myself, even if what I come up with isn't exactly true to the original, so thank you - your Taylor is a peach, by the way!

@missjoker911 That's for the ORIGINAL key ...but I'm not teaching it in the original key ...I'm teaching it in the key that Richard CURRENTLY plays it in live including in his latest U-Stream video where he performs this song acoustic...

The way I explain in this video is exactly the way Richard Marx plays "Hazard" when he performs it solo acoustic these days. That's what I took it from ...not from the original album/recording.

The U-Stream performance is actually in F#m, he has a capo on the 2nd fret and the guitar is tuned a half step down. So the actual key is Fm. Not really a significant thing, but just to be precise... You can easily play this in the original key with a capo on the 3rd fret.

Richard has his Capo to the 2nd fret and play Em. I have not checked his guitar tuning yet.

The chords are alright. The key seems to be Bm, ie capo to the 2nd fret. I'm not sure Richard Marks does Gm key as well Live.

The guitar track in this song is plucked throughout the entire song. I really don't hear any strumming at all. Maybe cords are correct but it he strings are plucked sequentially with melody. Liked the cover but not exactly the way he plays it.

No me gusta el estilo de este muchacho porque no es muy amigo de los arpegios y de los temas que requieren un cierto fingerstyle...simplifica las canciones en su estructura general con un barrido que es mas para aplicarlo en el fogon de un campamento que lucirse como uno quiere frente a la atenta mirada de los amigos y conocidos..
