cesar watch real close the Sheriff stalks them it was obviously him I thought at first she committed suicide out of guilt for being with the guy in the car and the narrator seeing it but then I thought no truly remorseful woman if she truly loved this guy would commit suicide with his scarf and risk him getting in trouble

mary did suicide because her lover caught her red handed because he said i swear i left the mary safe and sound and also police dint get any mark on mary's neck thats why they set her lover free...although they did find boy weird because of his childhood accident with his mom but all were roomer as he said in the starting so he was innocent from the starting

Sonam Verna I thought that at first but she was found with the scarf around her neck if she truly loves him she would not use his scarf because that might accidentally implicate him I think the Sheriff who was later shown following them and her when she was alone killed her and tried to frame the narrator its pretty obvious but he did not do good enough so they let him go but the town burned his trailer including the sheriff he was there then too
