Lol. I think he was try to emphasize how there’s “nothing wrong” so to speak, with the guys in order for them to decide to be homosexuals. Much like when a woman says she’s lesbian and people respond by saying “but why? You’re so beautiful “, as in many people from the olden days believe that you have to be defective somehow in order for you “decide” to be a homosexual. Mind you the war on drugs was a failure and Rome fell because of losing wars after pouring money into excessive military spending, not because anyone was "gay"
