Wow...Richard is probably the ONLY person still alive who attended that first NASCAR "Strictly Stock" race in 1949. When he passes, a lot of the sport's history will be lost forever. These sessions will be watched for generations.

I LOVE ❤these grass roots story's. I love that yal sound like regular NC country folk... not some polished boring homogenized announcer. This all has the feeling of talking with my gramps that grew up 15-20 miles north of daytona... Chester Mckenzie (cheif) 1926-2013. He told me he helped to push dirt (running a dozer) to help build the turns on daytona speedway. And his limited time of youth hanging around bill France on the beach course. It took all them to make that sport happen. Yalls story's hit home. Fantastic stuff!

Wow, just to see all you Guys 2gether, is truly amazing!!! I met a Richard Petty fan 2day at my work, I noticed his 43 hat, he noticed my Sunglasses, these are Cool Ray Polaroid Roadmaster 300 Sunglasses that Richard Petty wore during the '70s and early part of the '80s!!! I have ten pairs, I'd like to get a pair signed by the KING, himself!!! I like to get to the Petty Museum sometime this new year!!! I also have the Charlie One Horse Hat modeled after Richard Petty, when I was talking with Bonnie Davis, Museum Supervisor over the phone when I purchased the Hat, Richard was signing at the same time!!! What a day that was!!! Mopar Nate Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I want to know about the aero wars... the black top road runner, the Torinos and Chargers, the switch to Ford, the Superbird and how Petty Enterprises became the factory racing parts dealer...how Pete Hamilton and Buddy Baker wound up as team drivers and then Dale Earnhardt being the test driver for the Kit Car program...

I have been a DIEHARD PETTY FAN for about 50 years, or more. Love this channel, keep the stories coming. I have a piece of paper( popcorn box ) that Richard autographed on one side, and, Benny Parsons the other side. My older brother got it when he went to South Boston Speedway. I think it was 1971,Benny won, Richard was second,I think. We still live very close to the race track.Maybe I can bring it to the museum one day.

Love your guy's channel I got hooked into NASCAR by my Daddy watching it every Sunday I remember watching the king run his last race I was 8 years old and at that time I didn't know how big of a deal it was but looking back now I'm so glad I got to watch that as it happened on TV. But now watching all the stories that have been made over the years from that race I'm glad I got to see that Tore up car make one last lap the car actually looked pretty cool with no front clip on it. Last thing you guy's are doing a great job with this channel I'm 40 years old now and appreciate hearing about all the history and back stories on everything.....

This is really cool an something a ol race fan never thought would happen ....a small way to just to say something to the King . I belive it was 1998 when Richard was Grand Marshall at flemington speedway craftsman truck race Steve Biel 200. I got your picture from the grandstands ...your about 2mm size in picture but the hat is 2mm across so cant deny its not you . Got Buddy Bakers autograph that day on my ticket stub ..still got it .....buddy baker ...i know who tought Dale ....ol 6'4 leadfoot baker thats who ...king of speed ..heck king of Goodyear's tire testing . I miss ol Flemington Speedway...if you dig under the floor of Walmart..you can still see it

All l can say That organization was absolutely amazing to keep going after the 59 Daytona 500. Just think how many different lives Petty Racing changed over the years. The number of people that came in and worked and left and went with other teams and the families that were affected by starting at Petty and then going elsewhere. Simply AMAZING 👍👏
