It’s my understanding that Dale Earnhardt was always embarrassed that he didn’t finish school, and seemed to really regret that. Good on Richard for doing well in school.

One of the reasons Richard was so successful as a driver is because he is really smart. He talks with a North Carolina accent, and says some words in a funny manner, but he is a really smart man.

I can tell you when we went to the Petty Museum back in 1995 it was fun. Richard even signed our lug nuts off his car. Also we saw Mr. Lee Petty's home I wish I could talk to Kyle he seems like a fun soul.

Richard petty was my husbands favorite driver he use to go to wilkesboro and watch qualifying on Friday and he would set in the fourth turn grandstand so he could watch Richard qualify and he said that when Richard came off the turn you could see the smoke pouring off the right rear tire old Richard would sling that dodge around the track he’s his hero and will always be god bless you Richard petty and all your family as well ❤
