The discussion on the phrase "sound quality" is always really interesting to me. As teachers we're really good at breaking down the minutiae of stick motion and finding the language to dig deep into it, but lean into the blanket term "sound quality" even though the activity hasn't come up with a concrete definition of what that actually is. I was always blown away by instructors that could articulate information about the 'qualities of a particular sound' just as well as they could talk about velocity or weight or prep motion. Cool clip! Rich rocks!
