What you all aren't getting, I guess you never saw the Joe Rogan interview, is Richard had a small successful business. Advertising. He sold that to start Gas Monkey Garage. Richard doesn't want a little hot rod shop. Richard wants a global brand. Empire. The kind of Empire that makes him money while he sits with his third (trophy) wife on a beach in Mexico. The Shop is one business. The merchandise is another. The restoration investment /rehab is another. Then product, Tequila, and Energy drinks. Then the bar business. Richard produced Fast n Loud himself. Spent years shopping it around. Eventually Discovery bought a pilot and then the first season. Ten years on and Richard kept making more and selling more. Then cancel culture and Discovery knowing RR is opinionated and does things his way even while stepping on toes. So they stipulated that RR would make no statements on anything unless they wrote it for him. Additionally they would own all the social media, business and personal to be sure that RR wouldn't offend anyone. Richard bulked and walked away. Took it to the people. KZbin wants to be TV. Richard gave em a TV show. Still loud still obnoxious but he stays out of politics. Don't even know IF he ever voted at all. Keep it that way. Opinions on fast cars, sure, how to sling t shirts? Sure. Fixing social issues... NO!
