The longer this story moves without any developments, the more it looks like it was bait from his agent. The probably want to get him a big move after the Copa, and they know creating a link to United gets Rios attention from other clubs. I don't think United is in for him at all.

I'd love to watch more Serie A Brazilian football, but the time difference is a killer for me. The Rios story seems to be hype being pushed either by agents or club. He's literally on my feed, dancing, on all my socials out of nowhere. Interesting that he was a futsal player until he was 20. United definitely are not signing him. I think he would be a good signing. With his style of play, he's better suited to playing as an 8, meaning he'd start ahead of mainoo if you think about it, that's just my opinion. He can play as a 6, but he isn't a 6 as he's not defensive minded like that nor is he a destroyer like ugarte. A midfield trio of bruno, rios and ugarte would work with mount, mainoo and collyer being backup.
