It's just occurred to me I was introduced to Hard-fi at the Green Day show at MK Bowl. I'm surprised I remember it though as I'd virtually passed out in the heat.

I'm ashamed to say, but I'm more annoyed with myself for not having heard the follow up albums to Stars of CCTV until recently. How in the hell did I miss them? What I don't get is how Hard-Fi were never more popular because they are nothing short of astounding and I personally cannot fault any of the tracks from their subsequent albums having now heard them. Even the acoustic versions, Cherry Lips Studio versions and even the remixes are excellent. Not usually a fan of acoustic versions of songs per se, but Richard Archer knocks them out the park! Very underated singer/songwriter/guitarist and band. Should have been promoted more over the years IMHO instead of the godawful AM. A belated thanks to Richard and the band for all the great music.

I remember thinking at the time that this album was incredibly mature especially for a debut, and that it would stand the test of time. You can't keep a good song down, and these are gems. Seriously no throwaway tracks. Thanks for doing this, then and now- I continue to enjoy listening to these songs and always will.

Loved all these songs, but also (arguably more) loved Once Upon a Time in the West - still listen regularly to favourites such as I Shall Overcome, Tonight, Watch me fall apart, We Need Love + The King.
