When I try to power hit with my bottom hand tight I always sort of roll over the ball any tips on how I can fix that and secondly how do I get under fuller deliveries against pace bowlers

I would go with some one-hand drills where you practice hitting with the bottom hand only, aiming to keep a full face through contact. Then you will need to add the top hand in as well to see how your one-hand practice has gone. The second point, you don’t, but you can hit them in different places, in particular hitting the ball square of the wicket or scoop them over your head. Go well! Richard 🏏

I’m with you on this Jordan. I had 24 years out after stopping when I was 15 and restarted aged 39 during which time I also lost the sight in one eye. My advice is firstly just get out there are start getting into the habit of playing - find. Club with weekly nets and “have a go”. You’ll find people are always welcoming! Then work on the basics at first in the nets - a solid defence and driving the ball. It’s well worth getting some coaching in my opinion. Don’t expect too much too quickly, but maybe set a goal every couple Of weeks, whether that’s simply hitting the ball straight in the nets and working on getting forward, or working on basic bowling accuracy at a slow pace. There are tons of videos with the basics which will help you. In addition to getting some basic coaching it’s also well worth getting a ball feeder (like the joe root one) and working in the garden on getting forward with a straight back to some tennis balls - watching ball onto bat. InCould write lots more but I get where you’re at. 3 years ago I was batting terribly at 11 and not bowling much, but having worked on it and adjusting to my eyesight situ, I’m now opening he bowling and (currently - will no doubt change!) topping the league batting averages in my club. The great thing about coming in a little older is that you’ll approach with a more mature attitude to learning. So in a nutshell; try some initial coaching, basics in the nets and if possible a ball feeder for the garden. Good luck! 👍🏻
