Brock Purdy in my opinion is the 3rd best playoff quarterback behind Larmar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes. It's always shifting goal posts. Love just finished his 4th season. He's not elite based on stats. Lamar is in his 6th year. He's not elite based on stats. Burrow, Herbert, Allen.... I'm 55 and live in NY been watching football since I was 10. I've been a faithful 49er fan since the 1982 NFC Championship Game 49ers vs Dallas. I was a JETS fan when I was a Kid but had to route for the 49ers In 82 cause my older brother was and still is a diehard Dallas fan. During that time span I have never witnessed or heard the level of hatred and mis information toward a player in the NFL like I've seen with Brock Purdy. The only player I can think of that would come close would be Tebow and in all honesty that was fair. Its got to be for the ratings cause nothing else makes any sense!

Sherm is spot on! I don't understand why Keyshawn and other analyst who played the game can't give Purdy his props. Sherm is right. It's a no-win situation. How does someone be a front runner for 80% of the season, have 1, did I say 1 bad game, and 3 games later, be called a liability? Our defense has had a problem stopping the run all season. Our weakest link is not Purdy, it's our defensive coordinator. If we had one of the previous two DC's that are now head coaches, our defense would be #1. Our DC rushes 4 the entire game with no stunts, maybe 1 blitz, no extra rusher and it has caused our defense to be too predictable. Keyshawn keeps saying Purdy won't get the love because he was not a 1st or 2nd round pick. He don't even realize he's stating WHY Purdy should get the love. The last pick of the draft, not expected to make any team, and two years in a row takes his team to the NFC Championship! Over 1st round qb's! Whaaaat! That's why he should be getting props. Who cares where you were drafted. It's how you play when you get on the field.
