You know it's funny but here are the FACTS: in that October 2012 meeting between the Pats and the Seahawks, (1) Tom Brady had 0 interceptions in the 1st half and a 7 point halftime lead, prior to disrespecting Sherman and Thomas with "who are you guys?" in what was still their relatively-young careers. (2) In the 2nd half, Brady had two interceptions and no touchdown passes as the Pats were outscored 13-6. (3) The two interceptions were one by Richard Sherman (3rd quarter) and one by Earl Thomas (4th quarter) and the Patriots lose the game by one point. Poetic justice. (4) Sherman goes to see Brady after the game as Brady asked him to do. Those are the facts.

But with a 3.8 GPA at Stanford University, he's proven himself better than many other famous people already. My friend even brought up a good point about him being a much better man than that Damned Justin Bieber. He smokes weed, he's an unsafe driver, pissed in that poor janitor's bucket, and has been arrested twice consecutively. But yet there are naive little girls worshipping him like a God, thinking he is a good person. Those who have an upbeat personality, have heart. Pissing in a janitor's bucket for no reason, no heart. But fanatics do not matter. Only the great people ignore haters if they come their way.

Fat Lip Dude, no ones athletic skill lasts forever. Truly great and special players do not need a lot of time to prove their athletic greatness. Like it or not Sherman is at that level. Never trash talk… even if Brady did it first and also cheated several times… clown
It's disgusting how many people don't know that racism is still a very big issue in this country. Just because we have a black president doesn't mean racism is no longer prevalent. If Tom Brady gave the fired up speech Rich gave people would say "Oh he's just a fired up competitor, that's why he's so great." Sure Rich talks shit, but who doesn't in the NFL? Please. People who call it "the race card" are so damn ignorant it hurts. It's an oversimplification prescribed to placate the general public, but there's nothing simple about the history of racism and hatred in this country. So show some respect. You're 100% right McStrokeAvision.
@richardstroker673310 жыл бұрын
Race card. How do you explain the media treatment/perception of Philip Rivers, a white "country boy"? He likes to talk trash during games, yet has never called out any individuals like Sherman did the other day. He is constantly criticized for his trash talk and accused of being a poor sport. Where does your racist theory come into play here?
@milessiebenserickson10 жыл бұрын
A victim complex....yeah there's no way to convince you of anything. I used to believe that but I got an education.
@milessiebenserickson10 жыл бұрын
I explain the media by saying the media is biased. hahaha many people don't know the truth. You gain truth from people, literature, and experience. Not TV. Nobody holds people in power accountable for their double-standards and racial insensitivity because the majority is still tolerant of it. It's not my job to educate you. It's yours. So don't come at me like this is an argument that anybody can WIN or LOSE. Racism exists, and many people aren't even aware of their own prejudices towards others. It's like wearing blue tinted glasses and being told that everything is green, not blue. You have to take those glasses off to see reality.
@richardstroker673310 жыл бұрын
Still no response to my Philip Rivers example? Probably because you know it puts a big fat hole in your racist conspiracy theory. It's people like you that have to put race into EVERYTHING that are the real racists, and you're ruining our society. All that happened here is that Sherman made some controversial remarks after winning the game...some people liked it, some people didn't, and some people just enjoyed the entertainment it brought. No racism involved.

Long time Patriots fan, WA native so I like my home team as well. Still I think none of the players are the bad guy here. It's a competitive game, trash talk, is by all means another way of expressing the fire that burns deep symbolizing the drive;the ambitions of the players. And boy do these two have a lot to fuel to that flame, Brady's done more than enough to prove himself for what he is after that 6th round pick and Shermans on his way as well [5th rounder]. When you have two people that compete so hard what do expect to happen? Disappointment is going to come no matter what, there's always going to be a loser.[Unless it's in the case of a tie] I'd encourage people to embrace the fact that we're gaining more people with the spirit necessary to bring the best of football.

@dwizzlejerk10 жыл бұрын
David Gee You can be good at your position (but not as good as Revis or Pat Peterson) and not be "The Man." I don't see him winning any 'Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year' awards. He is a loudmouth egotist who excels as an athlete. And the Seahawks 4th string linebackers have Super Bowl rings, so being a Super Bowl champion honestly means relatively little for an individual player compared to the team as a whole.
@jjtruth350710 жыл бұрын
dwizzlejerk Trying to diminish the super bowl eh?
@dwizzlejerk10 жыл бұрын
JJ truth No. I am stating that his role in Seattle's Super Bowl championship was minimal. Cliff Avril and Chris Clemons each did significantly more than he did. As an individual accolade, Super Bowls are nice, but not proof of anything. Derrick Thomas, Chris Carter and Deacon Jones never won Super Bowls and still everyone recognizes them as some of the best ever to play their respective positions.

@davd19868 жыл бұрын
I don't get all the hate for Sherman here. Brady was trash talking to Sherman and one of his teammates and told them to see him after the game. So once the game was finished, Sherman did just that. Brady was asking for it, and he got it. Sure, they didn't run the ball and lost, but the year prior they manhandled the Broncos and like the Patriots, are one of the teams to beat this season. In two weeks they'll play in Foxboro. Let's see what happens!

Sherman is great? In the same league as Brady? Time for truth Tom Brady has been putting it down and kicking butt for 14 years. Tom has passing titles, he's set numerous records, 4 pro bowls, 14 playoff appearances, 12 division crowns 5 AFC championships, 3 super bowl rings and MVP awards. Tom Brady is the winningest QB of his generation and 2nd best of all time surefire 1st ballot hof. Richard Sherman is still a kid who has had 1 or 2 pro seasons & 1 sb ring. He should show some RESPECT. U jealous bro? Tom Brady has earned his swag coming back from injuries & surgeries 14 years of sweat & pain in the game. We know he's not a god kid. He's a gridiron great, a football field general and those of us who appreciate achievement give him his due RESPECT. Tom Brady is still the king & is in a different league than Sherman who has to earn it, prove it, show us great play consistently for a decade or more. People who don't watch football know Brady even people in other countries. Brady is the king Sherman even with a ring is still a peasant. Ok? Capish.

Look at Peyton's weapons throughout the years. Two future HOF played their whole careers in Indy, Marvin and Reggie. Two amazing receivers, not to mention Marshall Faulk and edgerrin James. Two HOFers right there. Best Brady's had was Curtis Martin for 2 years and Randy for 2. Look at the #'s he put up with one good receiver. Peyton had 3 pro bowl receivers, and a pro bowl TE in JT. Look at Brady's post season record. 19-9. Best of all time. HES THE GREATEST QB OF ALL TIME. I know everyone's gonna be like, "Spygate, and he's had Bill." We'll Peyton's also had Dungy, who to my knowledge is in the HOF. Learn football.
@robertcunningham169510 жыл бұрын
Curtis Martin was a back, not a wide out. And I guess you don't consider Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez good recievers? Deion Branch has always been serviceable, he had a year or two with Brandon Lloyd IIRC. Dude's had more talent around him than you seem to care to acknowledge.

There are so many people that just hate the Seahawks because a few of their [best] players are talkative. No one is going to deny that Richard Sherman has a big mouth, but he is #1 in the league for INT and a great player... The whole team is well balanced especially the fact that it's Russell Wilson's 2nd year. They're doing fantastic and I think people who hate the hawks must be mad that they aren't their city's team... I absolutely love the 12th man here, and seeing so many hawks fans at away games, or my friends even flying out so see their games. GO HAWKS!

Please get off my comment if you're just going to bash on the Hawks. Everyone knows Richard Sherman is cocky. Does not mean the entire team has no class. Take a look at Russell Wilson vs. Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick literally comes to interviews with a snap back and beats around his neck- while Russell shows up in a suit.

What's funny about this is they leave out what Brady said to Sherm earlier in the game. He said "You mad bro"? to him when they were up and told him and Earl Thomas to come see him after the game. So.... Sherman did. The media loves painting a bad picture of Sherman while Brady is a Golden Boy. Just like his blow up after the NFC Championship game against the Niners. This is WHY I think the media should NOT be able to talk to players any earlier than they usually can (which is 10-15 minutes after the game). The players are still amped up and in "Game mode". After that play when Sherman tipped the pass to Malcolm Smith. He went up and said "Good game" to Crabtree and Crabtree basically punched him in the face

Sam middlefinger lol if they do that wouldn't be the first time Seattle Seahawks have been cheated in the super bowl.
@MrsTruthTeller9 жыл бұрын
Sam middlefinger Ok, so obviously since people like you aren't smart enough to look at the facts before you yell "cheat", let me educate you. All videotaping was legal in the league up until 2006. Up until people started to hate the Patriots, which put pressure on the NFL to change the rule. Jets, Steelers, all got caught recording the Pats illegally but got a warning, slap on the wrist. In fact, every team came out and admitted that they videotape as well. And the penalty wasn't for spying, the penalty was videotaping in an unauthorized location. And that rule had JUST been changed! Secondly, the even more stupid scandal, deflate-gate. Obviously Brady or his staff or the refs were not measuring the balls. Don't think it was intentional,I just think Brady liked the grip so no one touched them after. And after listening to Aaron Rodgers, Matt Leinhart, Brad Johnson and Donovan McNabb, it appears most QB's fix their balls to their liking and the league doesn't really care about it. Its very obvious that this is yet another thing that is very common in the league yet its bad when the Pats do it because, well, people need excuses for why their teams loose so much. Also, all you idiots just won't acknowledge the fact that the Pats scored 28-0 points against the Colts with the RIGHT inflated balls??? If anything, based on the score, that deflated ball was a complete disadvantage!! Look, you don't dominate for 14 years in the league over stuff like this! Especially when its stuff that is common practice in the league!! So if saying the Pats cheats makes you feel better about your sorry loser team, then say what ever helps you sleep better at night! But a deflated ball and a video camera in the wrong spot doesn't make you as successful as the Pats have been! That's a smart coach, a great leader, a QB that players work hard for and respect, and a team that works hard for them and believes in them! Any moron who watches the games should be able to tell the the Pats just out play teams!! PERIOD!! Are you even phucking watching football? Or are you so involved in the Crygate scandal that its hard for your brain to process logic? All I know is if any of you Pat-haters could have the opportunity to have Brady as your QB or Belichick as your coach, you'd probably be screaming for joy like a little kid in a candy store! You'd probably sell your soul and sacrifice your first born to have them on your favorite team! And most importantly, you'd probably never call them cheaters again if they were on your team. So you can miss me with all that hate!!
@davedeangelo41029 жыл бұрын

So true Teddy. Players today start celebrating themselves in their rookie year after one good play. Bottom line, at that point last year, Sherman has no DAMN right to come up to Tom Brady and talk any form of crap whatsoever. Brady put in his work over many years and has 3 championship rings. Nuff Said. What Sherman needed to do that point was suck it up, show some respect, keep your mouth shut, and it would have been a non-story. They say Brady talk a lot. The real truth is that Brady gets a lot of shit from these players. Eventually he barks back. But NOOOO, no one likes that. These players today think that only THEY have a right to talk. You know who I'm talking about.
@harrybaules10 жыл бұрын
DallasCowboyzfan9 you have got to be kidding me? No one knew about Sherman til yesterday. And then we were reminded that he did the same thing last year with Brady. Sherman has accomplished SHIT. Til now STFU!
