Great version of Can't Win. That song was the showstopper early in tour at the Great American Music Hall in SF. An amazing take that topped even this one. Still hoping it surfaces one day.

Malcolm Gladwell was right: the children of the working class get the message from their parents that.they are meant only to serve others. The children of the middle class (and presumably the upper class), on the other hand, are taught how to get ahead, how to play the game. This group expresses that problem well.

Richard Thompson is difficult to categorise and that is probably the reason why he doesn't have the God-like status of Clapton or Hendrix. But he should.
