I cannot express my admiration for this man, his utterly distinctive songwriting and musicianship. To be working within traditional folk but pushing and combining it with so many different elements whilst creating so many biting, witty and beautiful songs. To be playing at this standard at his age. He makes me so proud to be a member of the human race, and there are not many people I can say that about.

Truly one of the finest vocal performances I've ever seen, almost masked by the staggering guitar playing.

Fantastic! I love RT so much, and that interview moment is charming. Also, given what a terrific job he did with Turning of the Tide on the tribute album, I'd love to hear what Bob Mould would do with this one. I can totally see it back to back with If I Can't Change Your Mind or Celebrated Summer.

I met him twice. 🙂 once at the Phiadelphia folk festival in '94. And the second was maybe? '98 on the festival pier at Penn's landing in Philadelphia both times with backstage access.
