I first heard The Ride Of The Valkyries on a car advert when I was 14 and wanted to find out more, as I'd only heard Wagner's name in passing and wasn't proficient enough at music to carry on past 14 at school. Since then, I've been a big fan of the instrumental music from his operas.

Totalmente de acuerdo Ricardo Gondelles. Hago el esfuerzo de terminar sin llorar tras la escucha de Parsifal pero no hay manera jeje. Su final es imposible que deje a uno indiferente. Me hace llorar, ahora que acertadamente cita lo de ''inocencia perdida'', precisamente por su pureza. La verdad que vaya finales sublimes que nos dejó Wagner. Tanto el del Götterdämmerung, Tristán e Isolda como el de Parsifal no se les puede pedir más. Cada uno con su estilo. Sinceramente ahí hay algo más que música... hay... catarsis.

@florinaioneseu9269 Thank you for your kind words & compassion, the loss of both my grandfather's has left a deep wound for the last 40 years or so, I wonder perhaps if they are together in Heaven & watch over us in our family. I once researched the crew of L32 the crashed Zeppelin where I live, & in the night I dreamt of the Kapitan Werner Peterson, he talked with me, I could see his face up close & clear, but could not remember what he said. Wagner his music captures for me, it so captures Germany, even though I know so little of it.
