Dr Richard Walley AM, an esteemed Nyoongar Aboriginal performer, musician, writer and visual artist was commissioned to create an artwork for Edith Cowan University's new building 'Ngoolark' on their Joondalup campus as part of the 2015 NAIDOC celebrations.
West Australian filmmakers Patrizia Tonello and Graham Taylor (Abandoned Suitcase) captured Dr Walley in the act of creating the painting 'Koora Yay Boordah', which translates from the Nyoongar language to 'Past, Present, Future'.
