Thanks. My first shotgun purchase back in 1995. Deer slayer!

My 9200 was the complete opposite from what you said. The beveled edge was pointing torwards the barrel end. And the 2 notches on the trigger pins, are facing the left side (the side that says model 9200) opposite side of the ejection port. And I never had any problems with mine. Killed lots of crows just fine.

Any idea where you can buy a extra barrel or pistol grip stock online?

Mine was on the same way but the pic on the gun shows the opposite. I have had some jams after cycling some 2 to 3 rounds in session. Think it was a mistake from the factory.

Have you tried Rem DriLube? Or perhaps silicone spray,.....see that preserves rubber as in o-rings? But as far as cleaning I use a tooth brush and paint thinner.
@richardfld3 жыл бұрын
Hi there. Haven't heard of Rem Drilube. Just had a search and can't find any stocked local to me. I've been using hornady one-shot gun cleaner and lube for a while now with decent results so It's just what I use as never needed to consider anything else. Am always open to try alternatives though!

Hey buddy, my uncle brought me his 9200 to see if I could fix and I have no clue what's going on with it. I can visibly see 3 shells in the gun, 1 in the chamber, 1 below the bolt and 1 in the tube and the bolt is not pulling back. It has a hold of the chambered round. I don't know if the round is stuck in the chamber, or if the round below the bolt is keeping it from being pulled back. Any thoughts? Any help would be much appreciated, thank you
@richardfld2 жыл бұрын
Hi there mate. There should not be a cartridge on the carrier (below the bolt). That is likely stopping you from cycling the gun. It's been a while since I've had that gun but try removing the foreend and barrel and see if you can remove the cartridge from the carrier? Obviously be careful if that is a live cartridge that is chambered!!

could you show a simple demonstration on how to remove the stock. I am contemplating switching mine out.
@richardfld9 жыл бұрын
+Bo Cowan its fairly easy. The butt pad is held on by two screws - use the right sized screwdriver with a bit of oil (vegetable oil or such like or even butter is fine) to unscrew them. Can't always see the holes as sometimes the rubber of the butt pad has closed over them but they are there. With the pad removed this will reveal a deep hole. I had to use a 1/4 inch ratchet and socket (think its a 13mm... Could be wrong though) on two 1/4 inch extension bars to reach it. Just simply undo. Just make sure you don't cross-thread the bolt when putting stock back on though.

I like the video. I just subscribed to your channel too. Do you still have this Mossberg 9200? I just purchased one identical to yours, waiting for it to arrive.

how about the magazine tube? is it possible to disassemble it and if so how is it done?

It should just unscrew. They are normally pretty tight though.

I have a 9200 it’s a pile of junk rounds won’t load into the tube and the bolt moves forward so slow and doesn’t go into full battery

Mine liked to be kept super clean and well lubed. It did end up failing tho and jammed and bent something, could never get it to run right after that

Weak spring possibly maybe time to take advantage of the warranty. Isn’t it a lifetime warranty from mossberg

Hi. Yeah it seems like its a bit of a flaw with these 9200s. mine did fly out in the middle of a field spent 2 hours looking for it! I actually got a friend whos a genius with metalworking to make me a new bolt handle which was a bit thicker which worked a treat. I was sticking a couple of small rectangles of electrical tape on the back edge which worked well though be careful if g etting the gun really hot as itll melt!

+richardfld yeah its not too bad. I called Mossberg,and thats somewhat normal i guess. If it gets worse i can send it in ,and they said they would fix anything for free. I did not realize they had a lifetime warranty. thanks for reply
@richardfld9 жыл бұрын
+madchad77 Whoa, sorry didn't mean to spam the reply, I posted the reply from my phone and it said it failed! In any case, yeah the 9200 was one of Mossberg's first semi autos they made and to try and get people interested in the brand they offered a no questions lifetime warranty on the model. I like the gun, I really do, but it does have its flaws and they are pretty old guns now so getting one that hasnt been abused or has quirks is getting harder (at least in the UK where Mossberg semi autos never were popular!) Also it sucks being the UK with a Mossberg as it's impossible to get parts as we don't have any real Mossberg dealers and getting parts imported is tricky :(

7:25 I’m not understanding. Mine will not slide all the way back in. It’s stuck half way
@richardfld4 жыл бұрын
hi. It's been a while since i had this gun and made this video. Is there a little tab or something you need to press in on the bolt when sliding it in? Failing that have a look at the gun manual online, can be found if you google
@matthewbaier7664 жыл бұрын
You know what, yes! There was this tab on the inside that was not pushed it. I had to use a small tool to push it in and then I could slide the parts back in. Thanks!
