I find light power rods to be grossly overlooked for panfish. Everyone wants an UL for compact size and fight or ML for distance and larger bait, but a good light power with a moderate or moderate-fast action can really bring together both worlds.

What do you all think about white bass/stripes on the table? We used to target them when they were on their run on the French Broad River in east Tennessee. I remember it very white, firm, and tasty. I don't know why I always caught a _lot_ more black crappie than white crappie. I've read white crappie generally hang out in a little deeper water and that they tend to congregate and suspend over places with no cover more than black crappie but I don't know, myself. Maybe we target black crappie without being aware? It's one of the fishing mysteries. lol Richard, it was a good day to go fishing, wasn't it? My best to Mama Sue as always.

Solar shield they sell them at Walmart reasonably priced pretty descent polorized sunglasses. I have to get new ones. Mine broke and replaced them with kastking polorized sunglasses. I'm not a fan of kastking sunglasses. Their digital scale is good. Kastkings rods and reels I'm not so sure. There's other brands like smiths that are too expensive. Get solar shield polorized sunglasses still good but worth it.
