Not to under value your comment, but probably better than that. I have met older gentleman like Richard that know where and when to find fish without trouble. They think like fish and would dominate competitive fishing.

Had to move out to the desert for work and one of the biggest things I miss everyday is all the water back home and places to fish. Me and my brother used to walk creeks for miles and miles catching big ol catfish. You’d be surprised the amount of big cats in small creeks. We would pull 3-5 pound cats out of 3-5 foot deep holes all the time back in Illinois, not bad at all

Hi, Richard thanks for all your tips, I've used alot of them and they help. My dad always talked about the rain. Have you heard of a wet rain and dry rain. if the rain drops leave a air bubble that's a wet rain . It puts oxygen in the water makes them more active

What I love about Gene is the way he treats the fish (among a plethora of other reasons). He doesn't throw or toss fish - even the smaller ones. Just the other day I saw a video where the guy catches a fish, and he wiggles free and flops on the ground. The kid doesn't even bother to pick it up or even give it a passing mention. I honestly felt bad for the fish as he struggled to get back in the water while the kid just keeps yammering on about whatever - completely ignoring what just happened. Just unacceptable behavior in my opinion. God Bless Richard!

Great video Richard. Creek fishing is just plain fun. Most of the time the water is crystal clear and your presentation has to be light and quiet. The fish fight harder than lake fish. A lot of times the scenery is beautiful.
