Wife and I were on Barren Fork last Sat in May. She went under a limb in a pretty swift spot and was moving faster than she thought. Bout took her head off but she reached out to push herself away from it and tipped. I was right behind her and wound up going thru the same spot trying to see about her and over I went too. I chased two kayaks and two paddles. Dry bags DID THEIR JOB. LOL. We climbed back in and kept going. Had a blast.

Everyone made it home safe thankfully....what a day. 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock and pause at each end a bit helped me. Some of the funnest fishing i had was with a popper on fly rod catching bass and bluegill in small lake or pond. Always enjoy your videos Rich!!

If you were out there this morning 6/6 would have yelled across the river. Son's first trout trip and caught his first one today. Worms were the choice for sure. Smyrna, Tn

Richard thanks so much for showing me caney fork hot spots and taking me out. That mistake I made in the kayak was so stupid I knew better but misjudged the speed of the river. It was very traumatic!!!

Keys and wallet must go in dry bag .And lanyard everything in. I've flipped too many times and most times hitting trees sideways does it . Anything can happen out there.

But I was worried if he gets pulled over with his limit and mine . On the Elk River also ,if that makes any difference.

Richard glad everyone was everyone is okay. Don’t want to be a Karen but if my friends is using my kayak I enforce to have wear life jackets. It’s better to be safe accidents can happen in seconds.

Wow. That was scary. It can happen so quickly . Glad everybody’s ok. Looked like a good day of fishing. I saw a guy go down the same way last year in that first big right turn. Found out later he lost his kayak, paddle, the works. One generator was on so they may have made it to the gulf.
