Hi Richard, do you think its necessary to use an impact driver for the centrifugal oil filter? I have the correct socket, but on my CB125 the filter just won't come off even with a hammer against the wrench. Planning to get an impact driver just for that and the generator, but don't know if it's worth it. Thoughts? Thanks for the tutorials by the way, this is my first rebuild on my first bike, and your videos are a life saver.

I'm assuming that we are discussing the castle type nut and the special socket tool ? The honest answer is that I don't know. The impact wrench I use isn't that powerful and often I resort to using a ratchet and extension bar. But I will say that the impact driver is great at shifting nuts that are putting up a fight. I think it's the vibrations passing through it seem to loosen stuff up. It is a useful tool to have around at times.
