It's great to see my people and it makes me feel more missing home, the last time I was in my island was 1993 and I haven't been back home since, once I got married and have kids I couldn't afford to go home and visit my family, I always enjoy watching your videos brother you have a great talent from God and I am proud that you are using to Express how beautiful our islands is and how loving heart they have, I am very proud to be a samoan now living in America, it's been lonely out here because there is not much samoans here. Keep up the great talent you have, God bless you and your family. 🙂

Mykah Shalom, sorry they do but close art like our Samoan Pe’a. I remember Suluape did one Tongan 🇹🇴 Tatau. The Tongan 🇹🇴 people are trying to bring back their Tattoo Art that was lost during the missionary arrived in Tonga 🇹🇴.

Malo e leilei Falon Hafoka, I’m Samoan and little bit of Tonga 🇹🇴 blood in me. I do have a Tradition Samoan Pe’a done by the Afioga ia Sr. Suluape from Samoa 🇼🇸 the village of FALEASI’IU in 2005. I remember le Afioga ia Sr. Suluape mentioning to 4 of us during that time that he done a Tongan guy on their Traditional Pe’a and the Tongan 🇹🇴 Pe’a is almost similar like our Samoan 🇼🇸 Pe’a. According to him, Tongan 🇹🇴lost their Tattoo Pe’a when the Missionary arrived in Tonga 🇹🇴 and stop the Tatau. Ioane Tunumafono) Fagasā i Hawaii nei 🌺🌴🇼🇸🇦🇸🇹🇴❤️🥰🙏✝️🤙🏾.

Awsome to see our tongan people reviving the lost art form of tatau. Haven been lost in the early 1800s when missionaries came to our island. Claiming back our heritage & our right ✊✊

Rose W, all the Polynesian People needs to protect our freedom & Land from the outsiders especially the Communist country of China 🇨🇳. Money & Materials will go to DUST but our land is for our children generation to come. Ioane (Tunumafono) Fagasā i Hawaii nei 🌺🌴🇼🇸🇦🇸🇹🇴❤️🥰🙏✝️🤙🏾.
@alamai77992 жыл бұрын
Yes, Tonga have a Pe'a too, their one is from the waist down to the top of the knee, where as ours is waist to knee. I've seen old drawing of Tongan Pe'a. Just search it up and you'll find it. The Taovala is what replaced the Pe'a in Tonga because of Christianity. Tonga and Samoa two sides of the same coin, brothers.
