That one humongous tipi.. I've seen some big tents/shelters, but this one is quite the size. You can use lashing eyes to get some proper non-trip/hazardous construction in the deck to connect those lines/hooks too. You'll find them at a local car workshop or trailer/truck workshop. If they are not in use, they'll become flat with the decking. Good luck hosting parties there! Looks like a wedding location really

Wow wow wow!!! What a fabulous beautiful Tipi...and it gets around building regulations because it's a non permanent structure with minimal footings... Think you may need some tie down and pegged ropes Further out than the platforms to handle winds because the hat could show some broomstick magic and fly off. Perhaps opening every second flap might help. It really is a beautiful structure and it's social support is fabulous. Wow!

Hey Richard a thought on the tie down for your Teepee. Install U bolts that can recess into the deck. Use climbing Clamps that are spring loaded. The U-boat can be pulled up from the deck and the clamp clips into it. Just a thought.

That is an AWESOME Teepee, I have never seen anything like it. Usually when a person sees them, they are already constructed, so, watching it go up is really cool. Those baby chick's are just precious, I had never ever seen ANYONE toss them unto a brooding area like that before. At first it made me kinda sad, thinking that maybe they would get hurt. But found out different the more I watched. Very cool set up on them as well. God Bless, Laurel 👍😁💗

Wowzie, with each new big project completed comes a real sense of relief and accomplishment; even as just a spectator! Really proud of you all tackling one major job after the next one like that. Well done everyone. You're really marching forward. I suppose getting all those bare root trees and shrubs in will now be the "critical" job to focus on. No rest for the weary, NEXT!!! : - D

The chicks trick reminds me of the table-cloth magic trick. "It's all in the wrist" to quote Sir Roger Moore in one of his 007 movies. I love the chirping, a good life on Ridgedale Farm for them all. Beautiful.

That's such an amazing space now. It's really beautiful and I'm hoping it doesn't take off. Don't you have to tie it to the beams instead of just the decking? And, it really does seem like the wedding venue too. Nice work today folks.

Are you able to avoid having to apply for a building permit because the tipi isn't permanent?
