Neve's dad used to teach theatre arts in my high school. He directed a couple of shows I was in, and he used to bring Neve and her brother Christian, also an actor, with him for weekend rehearsals. They were 5 or 6 at the time and used to run around and have fun. We all enjoyed them hanging around. It kept things light. The last time I saw her was at a dinner where she was celebrating getting the role in Phantom of the Opera in Toronto. It's been nice watching her become very successful.

The Northridge earthquake hit in January of 1994. I remember it well because I was getting ready to head to LAX for a work trip when it hit. I was in an apartment in Torrance, about a 30 minute drive South of LAX. The pool was splashing over the sides and a transformer on a pole in front of the apartments exploded. As for the David Bowie story, it is weird if you are into music more than the average person and you find out someone hasn't heard of a band or singer you think is known world wide. I watch this KZbin channel called Drumeo, and they have guest drummers play what they think the drum line would be for a song they have never heard, and the drums are removed for them to listen to the song.
