I swear no one pays attention to the small details anymore. They just spit out whats in front of them and the small print just isn't visible now a days. Let me educate you all.. The reason Caleb got named the starter right away was cuz the Bears understood the type of person they drafted. Caleb has made it known that he wants to be given all the credentials and be looked upon as the face and leader of that organization. If he wasn't named the starter its possible he would have got offended and training camp could have had some early drama until Caleb wasn't in his feelings anymore. Smart move by the Bears to understand who they are working with. Now as for Jayden Daniels... This quote here should give you a good idea on the type of person he is, "I'm not a star QB yet, I'm a rookie"... The Commanders know they have a guy that doesn't want to be given nothing until he earns it. Great job by DQ to hold off naming him the starter so he can go through the process and feel like he's working up to that starting spot. They understand the person they drafted and are playing their cards the way it should be played, same as the Bears coaches. Both franchises drafted two different types of personalities and are going about building them up the right way.

Drake Maye is way more prepared than he gets credit for, if he plays I think most people will realize this. Jaylen was the best QB I saw in college football last year, and it wasnt even close. I know many experts think Williams is a generational talent but I watched most of his games last year, and hes certainly a pro prospect but I didnt understand the hype. He didnt look generational to me, but im just a dude.

There are two possible outcomes to this Patriots season, both of which I’d be okay with: Brisset keeps us around .500 until The Drake is deemed ready, at which point we go on a hot streak and end up with the 7th seed (jury’s out on if we actually win that game, though). Or we stink it up to the point where it doesn’t make sense for Maye to start in a lost season, and end up getting a true WR1, unless one of our rookies proves to be exactly that.

The more I watch patriots camp the more I think Drake maye will start no later than week 6 jakobi brisset just can’t push the ball downfield like DM can and in the NFL with these great defenses you need to be able to score or eat up 30-40 yards off 1 throw not 10 attempts

As a Pats fan I fear the following: 1. Rookie Coach with no experience on offense 2. 50 year old first time play caller on offense 3. No left tackle 4. No playmakers or legit threat at WR. 5. Tough schedule. They will be hard pressed to match the 4 wins of last year and I’m ok with that. Just don’t ruin the young QB.

That's my biggest concern. It isn't Maye himself, it's him being surrounded by everything you said. That combination is the kind of thing that can destroy a qb. We need to evaluate that first before we can allow them to do anything with Drake. If I'm the owner, I don't let them start him until they prove something to me. There's a real chance a lot of these guys will be fired after the 1st year. They need to prove themselves.

Drake has something that Caleb and Jaden don’t. One of the best defenses in the league to practice against. Chicago has OK defense but nothing close to the patriots. I don’t want Drake starting so by the time he comes out next year I think he will be a very good quarterback and will be the best QB in this draft. Jaden has the potential, but injuries will plauge his career.

Chicago beat the patriots in nearly all defensive metrics, minus the pass rush/sack rate. Patriots have a better d line, but the bears have a much better secondary, so much better it’s not even close.

The Pats were missing both their best pass rusher and CB all season last year so their return will help a lot. Basically they are an unknown right now.

Who knows? All this stuff is rumor. During the initial interviews, the only qb they praised publicly was Maye. This is in line with just about everyone saying that Maye talks a better game and seems more intelligent than the others. This doesn't mean he'll be the best, but that was their opinion long before the draft. Maye is only 21 and at this point no one knows what he'll turn into. People will flap, but there is no way to know. You just pick him because he has all the physical tools and some brains and work with him to see what he can become. That's a more interesting place to be in than the 20 teams that have qbs that they will never be able to win with.
