It is really impressive how much better the Commanders D has been overall. They still have real room for improvement and we want to see them against tougher offensive squads but credit is where credit is due. Last year in the dictionary by steamroller/steamrolled you saw the Commanders D. They were so terrible for so little reason. There were so many personnel moves made by this front office to change that D and theyve done just that. I love watching Frankie Luvu play as someone not a fan of the panthers/commanders I'm ashamed I've missed out on him. He's really taken the next step as a professional.

He absolutely deserves it this year. In spite of the injuries, he has his team undefeated & at the top of most power-rankings despite the fact that the team just below on most of them is obviously the more dangerous & dominant team based on everything we have seen so far on the field this season. The fact that Mahomes is still in the too 3 for MVP odds, despite not even playing like a top 15 qb statistically or even as far as just the passing eye test is the wildest thing though. I get that he has done incredible things over the last 6 years, but nothing outside of this season is supposed to matter. He could throw 2 tds a game & not throw another int all season & his final stats probably still wouldn't end up being MVP calibur if the name on the back of his jersey wasn't Mahomes, yet the last I saw he still had odds equal to or better than Lamar & Goff. Playing like he is now, if he was on the Panthers they would likely still only have 1 win, maybe none at all bc Dalton played better in the game they won than Mahomes has looked all season so far.
