The change for the Bengals happened after the Steelers loss when Burrow called out the team by saying that we were going to see just who we have on the team going forward. The D still is not good but they are better. The OL isn't good. But neither was the SB Bengals playing 3 backups. The more you hit him the more determined he is to stand in the pocket. He is pissed off. He is like The Hulk. You do not want to play him when he is angry.

Both the Jets beating the Dolphins and the Chiefs 2nd string beating the Broncos are a good bit less likely imo than the Steelers beating Bengals, considering how bad Pittsburgh has looked the last few weeks. And I think most objective (i.e. not fans of any of the above teams) would prob agree. I'm not even sure Eisen really believes what he's saying here, but hey, he's gotta fill 3 hours 5 days a week. I have to agree. As a fan I would love the Bengals to be in the playoffs. If I'm Kansas City, Buffalo or Baltimore the Bengals is the last team I want to see in the playoffs. Fortunately for them, Kansas City will make sure the Bengals don't sniff the playoffs by resting all their starters. Bengals vs Broncos has almost always been exciting football. I remember Reggie Nelson dislodging the ball from the TE with a full speed shoulder check and sending them both horizontal for a few yards. If i remember correctly, that game might have been for playoff seeding, too.

Do you remember in 2009 for what I believe was the Bengals season opener, when Stokely intercepted Carson Palmer's pass at like the 5-yard line and he took it back for a pick 6 to end the game 12-7? I was very young, and my family had just gotten divorced the year prior, so this game always stuck out to me. Denver was a hot team at the time (think they went like 6-0).

Burrows' primary problem at OSU was a hand injury that kept him from competing at the same level as Dwayne Haskins. Burrow couldn't play, and Haskins took advantage. (And looking at 2018, Haskins had a much better season than Burrow did.) OSU didn't "chit" on him; he had a bad break. That's football.

The Bengals have only won against one playoff team in the regular season and that was against the Brocos in OT. So either the defense is complete trash when up against a good offense or Burrow is stat padding against terrible teams to make it seem like they're a threat. The reality is that Burrow continues to coast on that one playoff win against the Chiefs from three years ago because everything since then has been disappointing.

If you watched any of thier games you’d see that most of those losses are by very small flukey margins so your mistake if you’re not worried if they make it in. All Joe has done when he’s been healthy is gone: Super Bowl, AFC championship…that’s it.

As a SF fan will no horse in the playoff race this year… I’d absolutely love to see the Bengals in the playoffs. That would maximize the talent of the playoff field, and maximize the entertainment product. Also, adds another contender to the mix that could defeat KC. Denver will lose to Buffalo 35-3. Game will be over by halftime. The Bengals could make it close or even win. KC has a tough choice. Rest starters against Denver to eliminate Cincinnati, or try and eliminate your division rival and force Cinci and Buffalo to play a physical and emotional game immediately on wildcard weekend. If I’m KC, I beat little brother Denver and hope the Bengals beat the Bills. It’s their best shot at eliminating their biggest threat, the Bills.

What’s going on everybody? I was born and raised here in Cincinnati and we absolutely have a shot at taking it all IF we get in. Look for Burrow to restructure his deal and Chase taking a discount to keep Tee on the squad. Burrow knows what he needs to win and is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. He reminds us here of Brady when he was with New England because he did that a few times for his team to stay competitive. Rich is right on the money with saying nobody wants to face us and mainly because the offense is so dangerous and can score at any time, not to mention who our QB is. Our defense has had its own issues but I think they’re more than capable of proving us all wrong if they can stay out of their own way 💯
