You bend your back over and get him everyone he wants and it's still not enough. That is why GB drafted Jordan Love and they are better off without AR. If it weren't for Jerry Jones, Woody would be the biggest mess of an owner. All of those questions Rich raised (ok, so do I have to run Rodgers' system?) are entirely valid and which is why Woody should've riden it out with the gang that was cool with Rodgers running everything. So unless Rodgers has a replacement in mind (it couldn't be McCarthy would it?) Woody should've stopped listening to Rodgers so much. But OMG please let it be McCarthy!!!! Talk about making the Jets relevant again....but not on the field. That reunion would be so delicious for the sports talk tea-sippers out there. And let's just put that relationship under the NY media scrutiny.

@Gungho7310 сағат бұрын
I think Jerry is more visable but Woody is worse. Because Woody pulls the Ray Farmer route as a owner of reading general social media posts to make his decisions overruling the men he pays to make such decisions. I think Jerry still can involve himself in the drafting process in good and bad ways but Jerry isn't out here protecting Allen Lazard from a trade. Woody fired the GM now reportedly to get a head start on the search because he expects to be an ambassador again. When you're a sports fan of a team (thankfully I'm not in either case) being treated as a side project has to be utterly frustrating. Because at least with Jones, for bad and for worse, he is full on committed to selling the Cowboys as a brand and involves himself in that. The Cowboys don't get far but at least they are most years competitive. The Jets are currently the longest ongoing playoff drought in football. I feel for those loyal fans.
@jimmygreer21409 сағат бұрын
@Gungho73 I can't blame him for wanting to do other things. MOST, if not all, of them still do their businesses. But to be dreaming of being an ambassador while firing people left & right with seemingly no plan (unless it IS McCarthy) is seriously fugged up. I wish my owner would just own the team & trust in the professionals they hire. But that's Jerry. Anyway, that is a valid point. Woody may in fact be the biggest clown owner in the NFL just behind Jerry.

I know we’re not mathematically out of it, but come on, it’d take a miracle & a whole lot of help from other teams to squeak into the playoffs. It’s hard for me to get excited about rebuilding. I am so tired of rebuilding. We’ve been rebuilding this team for decades now with the same results. The only kind of building that would get me excited is if Woody announced they were building a New Stadium for the Jets. Preferably one that is actually IN New York! The Jets are the only US team in any sport that’s never had their own stadium. That is so sad. We need a home of our own. I truly think that is the only thing that will lift this Jets Curse once & for all. And if not? As a Bengals fan, the only joy of the season is watching that pompous fool bring down an entire franchise. Love watching Rodgers' hubris finally burning him and those around him. Am sorry for the Jets fans in general. They deserve better.

Aaron didn’t play defense but he did play offense 😂

Go ahead Rodgers, retire a Jet. Wisconsinites don't care about you anymore.

Blaming the defense rich? How about all those interceptions AR threw. LMAO

Rodgers will hang it up after this season.He has way too much on his plate.

I'm not saying this to say "I told you so," but every Packer fan definitely is. They warned you that Rodgers was a media circus on his own and would only make things worse in New York, and it all happened.

The Jets would be a great opportunity for Sean Payton. They would “deserve” one another.

Don't be surprised if Woody spends his UK Ambassador time negotiating the move to make the Jets the first Euro based NFL team in London...

Drafted the Jets defense a round early. Shame on me.

Someone please explain why the jets most explosive plays come from a checkdown to breece hall that explodes to a 30 yard gain . Rather than this they have nothing

I don't blame Rodgers. He hasn't played well, but maybe 1 loss can be attributed to him. After The Athletic article, it is quite clear the Jets have been dysfunctional for some time.

Until you are rid of Woody - its all set on repeat. Blame whoever you want to cope better.

Has the team really been disappointing, or did fans -- and not a few pundits (like Rich) -- wildly overrate it?

Rodgers is a teamkilling cancer who undermines leadership. Sure the owner is terrible; most of them are. The defense is tired of keeping teams under 21 points and still losing, or being on the field all game long. Pointing out the bad game of the defense is like pointing out the very least of their problems. The kind of guy who preaches teamwork above all but constantly acts- in the most obvious way- in his own interests and never takes accountability for anything.

Yall deserve every bit of this. Blamed Zach Wilson, constantly called this a “championship” level defense, foolishly spent draft picks on rogers after going down this road before with Favre 😂 the jets are pathetic and I love that Brockman gets to watch you suffer first hand
