Spencer Haywood is a legend here in Detroit! He became a star during the 1968 Olympics when he became the starting center when many Black athletes boycotted including Kareem, he did not leap from high school but from University of Detroit after his sophomore year, not to the Sonics but to the ABA Denver Nuggets under the old “hardship rule”

Wood Harris and Mos Def are the best male actors representing our community in the last 40 years hands down. The range is beyond belief. Either one of them could have played Marvin Gaye and the portrayal would have exceeded Jamie Foxx's portraying Ray Charles.

As much as I love Wood and y'all believe me when I say Wood is one of my favorites... Him saying Pac music wouldn't have let him be a legendary actor is false... I always felt he would have eventually gotten away from hip hop to be a great actor.. Almost like today rite??? Exactly the same scenario with the only difference he would still be alive acting.
