The Chiefs have had a nearly complete changeover in the WR room, have had many injuries in the DB room, and are having major issues with the O Line. There have been many hurdles the Chiefs have overcome and still have to overcome.

@@ricktrujillo2622 Lol, man, same here (44 years old though). I *did* like the takes, at first, because any football fan - even a Chiefs fan - is a little fatigued from KC in the media (good god). But he sort of lost the twinkle in his eye at some point and it's a little sad. Like @saint6563 just said, it's kinda obvious he's irritated as a Pats fan - but also, "boy who cried wolf" is a pretty dumb thing to say. I've said it before. Luck is nothing more than the intersection where preparation and opportunity meet. The Chiefs come prepared each week. Just need the opportunity to show what they can do, and without fail the other teams provide that opportunity.

KC is so lucky. In last year's Super Bowl it was lucky that the Chiefs coaches clearly communicated the new overtime rules to the team and they had a plan in place with the team on board while many of the 49ers stars had no clue what the rules were. So lucky.

@@chrislakous5236 Reminds me one year when Mahomes was up for MVP. He clearly outpaced everyone else, but all the talk was about Burrow or Jackson or Allen (honestly can't remember who). They talked about what they'd done that year. But Mahomes? Nope. He didn't have the same stats he'd had the year before, so he "wasn't as good," even though his season record was better. I don't even remember if he won or lost that year, just the narrative the media spouted. The Chiefs get compared to Chiefs of the past.

Chris Brockman having even the slightest platform is the worst thing that's ever happened to NFL media. The fact that the world has seen the Chiefs dynasty minimize and supplant his Patriots dynasty so quickly, with no Spygate, no Deflategate, a likeable head coach and QB, and with no end in sight, is true justice for every person who likes to hear the authentic and qualified analysis of the other people on this show but has to put up with his hypocritical and fallacious takes. I can't put it in a nicer way than that.

# NFL2byes NFL needs to go to a two bye, 19 week schedule. Drop to two preseason games and add a bye week during regular season, keeping the same 21 week footprint. Could spread the byes across two-four week byes (8 teams per week 5-8 & 12-15) or a more equal split across two-two week byes (16 teams per week 7-8 & 14-15). Previous year Divisional standing could be used to determine bye week? However broken down, adding a second bye helps allow players a better opportunity to rest and recover through a long physical and challenging season. Please share & spread the 2 bye concept and hopefully get the NFL to consider it.

I thought the Chiefs were headed nowhere last year, and they won the SB anyway. Not going to doubt them again. I think it's their coaching that makes all the difference. They know how to coach their players to avoid bonehead mistakes, and they know how to manage key situations better than any other coaching staff. Three-Peat-Rooski.

I doubt Dhop comes back, and Travis will retire after this season. Superbowl or not, Travis will have great motivation to retire. 3peat, be literally the only NFL player in history to retire after 3 straight Superbowls, ride off into the sunset. If no Superbowl, than the 3 peat window is shut forever for Travis, since he sure as hell isn't playing for 3 more seasons after this. So no big career motivation to continue then. Especially considering he has no chance to catch Tony G for all time yardage. He would need over 3 more 1000 yard seasons.

Luck is doinking a field goal kick off the upright and it goes in. It's not luck if you make a play to win or the other team fails to make a play to win resulting in you winning. Trying to say that the Chiefs are 13-1 because of luck is just a dumb argument that's not based in reality. Outside of the Bills game and the doink against the Chargers, the Chiefs made the plays when it mattered most and their opponents didn't. It really is that simple. Not only that, the Chiefs have had to deal with a ton of injuries on top of that. The Chiefs are just a really good team that prepares better than their opponents and takes advantage of their opponent's mistakes. It's not luck.
