Islands are a great way to stop battleship forward motion as opposed to waiting for the "beast" to finally slow to a stop. Great way to keep my guns in the fight and off lesser targets. Great explanation of the little tricks to improve my game play. Thanks for your time in putting these videos together and explaining you strategies!

Anyone get the updated hull for the Richelieu yet? According to the specs, you get 2, or 4 more secondary turrets. So am extremely curious what type of turrets, what and how many guns they have, and especially WHERE are these extra turrets placed? Are they still towards the rear (and near useless unless turning around to retreat), or finally a few more towards the front that can be helpful? And this is nice, because a few ships I've seen secondary turrets removed in the upgraded hulls, not good.

i remember i hit the citadel of a new orleans in my iowa when they were behind an island and i saw that the little mountain icon was not appearing. i fired and i killed him with one salvo. a lot of people think they’re safe behind an island until they get popped

I was playing against one last night and my 1st salvo from the alabama hit the front turret and knocked it out for the entire game lol. Bad ass ship but unfortunate design. Probably could use a bit of a buff in terms of survivability.

My guess is WG would call this "balance". In reality, the French quad turret BBs had the turret divided down the middle with a thick armored bulkhead. Essentially it was two gunhouses on a common turntable. This did work; Dunkerque at Mers el Kebir had a partial penetration of one turret that disabled two guns, but the other two could still fire. In the game, yeah, this is what you see. If you're approaching head on to your target (as you should be), they're probably going to start shooting at your turrets. Richelieu has 430mm turret faces, but as the range closes, they are going to take damage repeatedly and eventually get knocked completely out. I see this a lot on Dunkerque (330mm turret faces, by the way) and it's just a fact of life with these ships.

@@TbullGaming that is true the way the game currently models these quad turrets. But as Dave mentioned, and I have too in other posts, these turrets are actually 2 separate compartments with 2 guns in each. So IRL, unless a major hit (as in massive ammo explosion), only half a turret should only be destroyed. If WG eventually does model that, then the Dunkirque and Richelieu would be more lethal, longer.

sure if you know this or not but just a future reference that in your Richelieu battle were you were against the Bismarck. because your team had more points you do realize if you would have rammed and killed that Bismarck your team still would have won

I have been struggling with which captain to spend my promotion orders on. I'm almost to the Lyon and then on to the ritchy. However I have enough silver to buy the Amagi. I also have the Iowa. I have Jajuad and Takagi and cannot decide which one. Ughhh

High level JoJo can potentially be used for an inspiration on all battleships. Takagi, I'm not sure if his trait actually works or not. I've asked WG to check but they never got back to me. Both great lines of battleships, so you can't go wrong either way

The A-hull's rudder shift is horrible and had to put the steering upgrade to compensate but now with the B-hull then the shift is improved and it can do it in 12 seconds and I'm using Bobby J like you but with N.T.O.N. , Crisscross so that it doesn't hurt its speed then Megalomania with the reloader upgrade on the 4th slot so she can reload faster and mine does it around 24 seconds and the range perk. My Bobby J is at level 15 legendary 2 just short of 2 insignias for max level but this ship needs a buff on its gun durability and increase range on the secondaries.

I finally got the ship I like it first game 123,000 damage and took fire from 3 battleships and Atlanta all fire was on the bow only lost 20,000 hit points

I noticed that you had to face the same cancerous Iowa division in both games, that's always a nice bonus. Given the linear movement style of this ship, prop mod would be preferable to steering gears I guess?

I can't tell if I missed you speaking to this, but.... Why was the turret completely taken out on your ship an not repairable? Is that part and parcel for this particular ship? Loved the drive by you did in the second vid. I swore you were gonna tip it over.

if a trailer is knocked out repeatedly so many times or is hit so hard you can see the turret like the guns all bent in the turret black is impossible to repair in world of tanks is more common it's called a critical hit where is basically he got hit so hard it can't be repairednormally happens with turrets and guns and well tanks in world of warships is with turrets I mean look at the gun when it's disabledit looks fine but when it's critical hit the whole thing looks like it got butt f***** by a nuke

While watching your video you stated hitting the speed boost while backing up to go faster... however, when you hit the speed boost while backing up it actually slows your ship down...

The gold you don't really need, but it is the currency backed by cash used to buy things. Usually you have to pay for it, but sometimes there are daily missions that reward gold. They were active missions last week, haven't seen it they are still going this week or not

Yeah. That's really annoying, when you lose your both cannons. The only way to win without guns, is to drive trhu the enemy warship, if it is close. You get the kill.

Yo TB is your Richelieu also so wildly inaccurate, mine behaves like tier 3-5 german BB with Ciliax it's absolute madness. It's like fireing a shotgun, despite the fact that I use Jojo inspired by Cunningham.

Iowa you just put it in reverse and then put the controller down. This ship is more mobile and should be pushing flanks

Love your videos, but I hate that you are using JJ, with Guepratte you can survive more, have better mobility(you can dodge few salvos, before all speed is gone) and have 21 sec reload, but still great. I will never admit sniper commanders as possibility for BBs, because I can do great hits even without buffed accuracy and precision.

Anyone else having problems with their teammates? I do my job fine but then I notice my teammates are shooting but not hitting anything I spectated after I died one match in a destroyer and a battleship couldn't hit the easiest shots in the world and none were playing the objective and we lost by points because our teammates didn't know u had to do something other than get kills tier 5 as well I get if it's just not their day but it's happening consistently now and if I die it means we lost 90% of the time and then the enemy is just insanely good for some reason and hit every shot hit exactly the right spots and is playing the objective and being smart I don't really understand??? It makes it hard to progress too

@@TbullGaming I guess it depends on how much money you want to invest. I don't think WOWSL is ever going to be a big draw in terms of view numbers so maybe you don't want to spend a ton of money on equipment for video production. Do you use a mic in your recording room or do you use a gaming headset mic? A real mic will always sound better. Also, there's a lot of background noise, I guess it's your air conditioning which hums at various frequencies. There's a lot of reverb so I'm guessing you have some bare plaster or wood surfaces in your recording room, some carpet or foam baffling will help with that. Eggboxes are a cheap way of getting the same effect. Also, I suspect you chew tobacco while recording, which doesn't sound so appealing to the listener. I hope some of this can help you!
