Questionable list. Just for BTS alone - some on the list, I’d say there is no way that they are richer than BTS. Others I guess if they became successful entrepreneurs then I can see that. If they became actors it depends how big an actor they became . If it’s just one big film or big roles too far in between then I doubt that they’ll be richer. Unless they were born rich to begin with. JYP I agree. I mean he owns a kpop label ! One of the Big 3 too at the time for crying out loud. As for BTS . Just from their record sales, concerts, endorsements and their share from Hybe - not to mention their solo projects shld put all of them on the list. We are also not sure how much down payment they got just to re-sign their contracts again. There’s talks that it’s $15 M each member just for them to re-sign plus we don’t know what else the group demanded or what Hybe offered to them . V for example you just mentioned Cartier and Celine . How about SimInvest (one of the biggest conglomerates in Indonesia ) and compose Coffee ? V was paid $4.7 Million on that alone.

Making millions on an album doesn't mean artist is gonna get all that money. Most of the money goes to the company. Some companies are giving artists even less than 2-3℅ of what an album or song makes. Idols are product of companies and companies have full ownership of artist's every professional activity and money made out of it.

Every idol has investments in their company or in other companies. Even you can be a shareholder but shares are risky. Even if you have $20 millon in a company, it might drop to $2M as well. There is no source of Big Hit takes 50% and BTS takes 50% of profit. It's a well known fact that you can't make huge money if you don't make your own songs. That's why G-Dragon is the richest idol (last year real estate industry reported that G-Dragon has the biggest real estate in $ and that only 3 flats of him in Seoul are worth over $45 million.) If you check KOMCA's reports, GD and IU are the only idols who made to the copyright fee list but from Big Hit only PDOGG-Bang Si Hyuk entered the list because being credited in a song doesn't mean you made that song.
