I don’t understand when ppl compare Lagos to any other city in Nigeria… like there are 25 million souls living in there fam, it’s not easy to get it clean, it should be compared to cities in the same position, like Indian Cities for example..
@donotreplydumbpeople3866 Жыл бұрын
@@aframaco9491 hahaha chill out fam, yes Lagos is… dirty (I dnt know about filthy) and I agree on everything you said, specially with the fact that, you build a house and the dirt coming you doing the building is on the street, BUT it’s also truth that compare Lagos to any other city it’s not fair, LA in California have the same exact problem, the difference is that they try to face it, but yeah it’s harder than Wyoming with less population
@NymaMargaret Жыл бұрын
Lagos is actually very filthy and don't bore me with the population thing, Lagos keeps harvesting from the population without wanting to take responsibilities.

Orondah Wali. Rather than high rise buildings, why not promote and build based on African architecture? Why copy Western behemoth style buildings that are not healthy or environmentally sound. Certainly there is plenty of land available to build innovative and beautiful buildings based on African culture. Stop imitating ugly Western building models.

Very nice video that deserves a special dedication to all europeans. This is the Africa you don't know, the one that authorities are ashamed and afraid to show you on your news channels. Rather pretty and scary isn't it ?
@blade_warrior_blue4 ай бұрын
Why would it be scary to us? Why should we be scared of your success? Can we not be happy for you? You think we all look down on you. Not true. We respect Africans. Nigeria holds a special place in my heart and I hope all your cities and villages are able to repeat this success. In fact I would even say you guys should support your domestic business geniuses and innovators, for example, if Innosen Motors is making affordable, good quality cars, you Nigerians should get your asses out and buy them! Support Nigerian manufacturing keep that money circulating in Nigeria I stead of handing it to Europe and Asia a d keep boosting your economy. You have to really get patriotic with your buying habits. The potential is there.
@blade_warrior_blue4 ай бұрын
We don't watch those fake news channels anyway. Besides it's not looking that great here in the west anyway. We're not all rich that's a myth to begin with. Nigerians would be wise to make sure this money is going into projects that benefit the community for example, just building hotels for rich people may create a few jobs and slight boost to the economy, ok cool. But what do the youth have for them? Any place to go to do fun and productive activities? Because we know what happens when the youth are stuck on the street with nothing to do. Make sure money is going into providing good education so you have as many engineers, doctors, scientists as possible. Invest money into improving Nigeria's contribution to the scientific community. You have the talent and brilliant minds in Nigeria. My father in law was an engineer in Nigeria. My wife is from Nigeria. I'm so lucky to have her. No American woman can compete.

I completely agree with you, Port Harcourt is the most developed city in West Africa that has never been a national capital. And when you take into consideration, the entire Metroplex which includes all off Eleme, Oyigbo, Ikwerre and Okirika LGAs in addition to PHALGA and OBALGA; it becomes even more developed in terms of urbanisation, economic activities and infrastructure than some capital cities around west and Central Africa.

Just like Nigeria, Rivers State is multi ethnical. The capital port harcourt is owned by 2 main ethnicities, the Ijaw ethnic group which occupies the south (riverine) of port harcourt and the ikwerre people which occupies the North (upland) of portharcourt. ikwerre is not an ethnic group but a tribe. I didn't mention their ethnic group because of the controversies surrounding where they are actually from. I don't want to start a war under this comment 😂 but if you want to know more about them a quick Google search might help

@Philip Tammy Lol ... the wonderful Ikwere people (by the way, Burnaboy is an Ikwere man from Port Harcourt) have always maintained who they truly are and where their ancestral lineage is traced to in Nigeria. Now, some tribe are trying to claim them by force, but the Ikwere people categorically rejected that idea. Lol ... they said, though we may speak similar language due to proximity, but our true identity and lineage is down South South. The Ikwere people are basically saying to this other tribe: We are who we say we are, and not what you want us to be.
@Bishop_Six Жыл бұрын
@@2LETLIVE but Burnaboy said it himself in an interview in America that he is Ijaw. I have the video
@2LETLIVE Жыл бұрын
@@Bishop_Six Thank you. I'm confused because Burnaboy's father, Mr Samuel Ogulu's ethnicity, is actually the Engenni people. These people lived in close proximity with the Ijaw people, but they are not Ijaw. Engenni people primarily live in the Ahoada West local government area of Rivers state, Nigeria. I can understand the Ijaw connection. Thank you for pointing this out. You know another thing, though? Contrary to popular beliefs, surprisingly, Burnaboy's mother, Bose Ogulu, is actually from Edo State. Not too many people know this. Bose Ogulu's father (which is Burnaboy's grandfather) Mr. Benson Idonije is from Owan local government in Edo State. He was once Fela Kuti's manager. Bose Ogulu (Burnaboy's mother), her mother (which is Burnaboy's grandmother), is from Yoruba. So, Burnaboy's father, Samuel Ogulu, is from River State. While his mother, Bose Ogulu, is from Edo State. I just love history. ❤️ 😃
