Nah, theres other big events that show blading in a good light, Huge contests of all the pros a ew times a year, Bitter Cold Show Down and The Blading Cup to name a couple. Theres also Nitro Circus showcasing blades on the mega ramp. We're pretty happy where we are, sure we dont make millions on sponsorship deals, but we're happy with our tight community.

I’m friends with Richie and he still skates almost everyday when the weather permits (but we live near the beach so outside of the rainy season that’s all the damn time). He might not be as agile as he was 10 years ago but he still is doing shit to blow people’s minds (especially skitching behind cars in a country where 99% of people not only have never even seen shit like that but they couldn’t even imagine it…..but I’m not gonna blow up his spot with specific details of his location). Anyway, point being - once it’s in your blood it’s hard to get out. Even though it maybe waning in popularity it’s something that will never escape you (I’ll skate with him playing pickup hockey but I can’t street skate - my skills are only there for hockey)

He makes falling look like it didnt hurt him at all, when if I did that I would be out for a year! I fell backwards on my butt on a half pipe a year ago, and my back pain is still rampant as on the day it happened. I am alot older now (almost 37, but have the mentality of a teenager) I seem to dream bigger than my reality can actually grasp, but I am still learning and loving to sk8 as much as I can. This guy is king! I've BEEN WAITING for an aggressive skate like his model to come out since the 90's. A speed skate with grind spaces, as oppsed to the awkward bulk of aggressive skates that I had to get used to. Which honestly made it feel like a different sport. They could grind but there is 0 cruising power with fat, heavy skates, and 55mm wheels.
