Hi Ed , great story hearing your Dad telling us about seeing Elvis at Madison square garden, same thing pretty much happened to my mom & I we were told by my aunt who for many years worked for RCA RECORDS that Elvis was coming to Madison square, she worked & knew Joan Deary, she sent us 4 tickets for us for the show, but they didn't arrive on time so my mom & I took a train from Canarsie brooklyn to Manhattan & to Madison square garden, the line was Long but we didn't move , we got 4 tickets not the greatest seats but we saw Elvis, next day I got up real early & my cousin who just got out of the U.S. MARINE CORPS drove me there & waited with me ,I just turned 14 yrs old, I bought more much tickets , for the second show ,like your father said Elvis was Electrifying!!!

Some real nice memories, photos, of the momentous occasion. How one performer can cause so much adulation and excitement even years afterward. What is surprising in comparison to todays artists is the cost of the tickets. Real shame the concert was not professionally filmed especially as it was MSG NYC a well known venue.

Great video Richie and son .... Someone did sneak a video into MSG and took a video ... not good quality ... a lot of intrigue on how it was done and what camera was used .... also, was a tripod used? lol ... The rumor is that someone looked the other way and the video was created.

They did take the Madison square garden show I think the Saturday afternoon when he had the blue jumpsuit on turn off just put Elvis Madison square garden concert it'll come up and you'll be able to watch it enjoy I was at the Saturday afternoon show where he had the blue suit on

elvis refused to go onto stage after seeing his fans boo the comedian guy. but parker talked him into going onto stage or be sued.
